UFC Fight Night 267 odds, predictions: Dan Ige vs. Melquizael Costa

The UFC returns this weekend with another event, that being UFC Fight Night 267. This event will have 14 fights in total and is scheduled for Saturday, February 21st at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The action will begin at 5:00 PM ET with the Preliminary Card, followed by a six-fight Main Card at approximately 8:00 PM ET.

One of the most intriguing Main Card fights will feature a fight between 14th-ranked Dan Ige and Melquizael Costa in the UFC Featherweight division. Costa has the most to gain here, as he is currently unranked.

Dan Ige vs. Melquizael Costa MMA Odds

The UFC betting odds for this fight clearly show that Costa is a heavy favourite, as he has odds of (-215), while Ige is an underdog with (+164) odds. Other betting markets would suggest that this fight will go the distance (-215), while the fight to end inside the distance has odds of (+164).

For those who want to bet on a specific finish, the most likely result is Costa winning by decision (-145), while backing Costa to win by KO/TKO or submission is a bit longer (+550). If you want to bet on markets with longer odds, round props are a great way to do so.

Dan Ige fight UFC preview

Ige enters this fight with an MMA record of 19-10 and 12-9 in the UFC. His most recent fight ended in a loss to Patricio Freire by unanimous decision in July 2025. Ige has now been in the UFC since 2017, and during his career, he has mainly been a one-dimensional fighter.

He is averaging 3.64 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 45%, compared to his grappling ability, where he is averaging 0.89 takedowns every 15 minutes. Further, Ige has a takedown accuracy of 25% and a takedown defence of 56%.

Melquizael Costa UFC fight preview

Costa enters this fight with an MMA record of 25-7 and 6-2 in the UFC. His most recent UFC fight resulted in a win against Morgan Charriere by KO/TKO back in December 2025. Costa has excelled as a striker and grappler in his UFC career, averaging 4.42 significant strikes per minute with a striking accuracy of 49%.

As for his grappling, he is averaging 1.93 takedowns every 15 minutes and 1.2 submission attempts every 15 minutes. Despite Costa having excellent grappling ability, his takedown accuracy is only 38%, and he has a takedown defence of 58%.

UFC Prediction: Who Will Win Ige vs. Costa?

Costa may be the heavy favourite, but he still looks to be the best betting option. Costa could be a longer favourite, but because of Ige’s long-standing UFC career, he is being given a decent chance.

While Ige is a UFC veteran, he has struggled too much recently. Over his last six UFC fights, Ige is 2-4, while Costa has won his last five UFC fights in a row. Further, Costa has the clear advantage in both striking volume and grappling compared to Ige. Because of this, backing Costa to win (-215) is my best bet.
