UFC Fight Night 263 Preview, Predictions: Steve Garcia, David Onama headline main event

The start of November features another exciting UFC event: UFC Fight Night 263. This event is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1, and will take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

UFC Fight Night 263 consists of 13 total fights, including a main event in the UFC Featherweight division that will see the 12th-ranked American Steve Garcia take on the 13th-ranked Ugandan, David Onama.

My article will give you a complete preview of three of these fights, including the main event. Keep reading to see my best bet for each one.

UFC Steve Garcia vs. David Onama best bet: Steve Garcia ML (-135)

My top pick for UFC Fight Night 263 will target Steve Garcia to beat David Onama in the main event. Garcia enters this fight with an MMA record of 18-5 and 8-2 in the UFC. He has won six UFC fights in a row, including a win over Calvin Kattar in July 2025, by unanimous decision.

Garcia’s preferred fighting style is striking, as he averages 5.18 significant strikes per minute compared to just 0.90 takedowns every 15 minutes. As for Onama, he enters this fight with an MMA record of 14-2 and 6-2 in the UFC. Onama has won four UFC fights in a row, including a win against Giga Chikadze in April 2025 via unanimous decision.

Simply put, Garcia absorbs far less damage and has an elite takedown defence to counter Onama’s grappling advantage. For this reason, backing Garcia to win is my top pick.

UFC Jeremiah Wells vs. Themba Gorimbo best bet: Themba Gorimbo ML (-145)

My second UFC Fight Night 263 pick will be for Themba Gorimbo to beat Jeremiah Wells on the main card. Gorimbo enters this fight with an MMA record of 14-5 and 4-2 in the UFC. He employs a balanced fighting style, averaging 3.15 significant strikes per minute and 4.81 takedowns every 15 minutes.

As for Wells, he enters this fight with an MMA record of 12-4-1 and 4-2 in the UFC. Like Gorimbo, Wells has also shown balance, averaging 2.41 significant strikes per minute and 3.08 takedowns every 15 minutes. Gorimbo holds the advantage in striking volume and grappling, while also being much more accurate in both categories. Further, he absorbs far fewer strikes than Wells.

Gorimbo did lose his most recent UFC fight, but Wells has lost each of his last two UFC fights. Expecting Wells’ bad spell to continue, backing Gorimbo to win is the play.

UFC Timmy Cuamba vs. ChangHo Lee best bet: ChangHo Lee ML (+100)

My final pick for UFC Fight Night 263 will be for ChangHo Lee to beat Timmy Cuamba on the preliminary card. Lee enters this fight with an MMA record of 11-1 and 3-0 in the UFC. He has shown striking and grappling ability in the UFC, averaging 4.92 significant strikes per minute and 3.27 takedowns every 15 minutes.

As for Cuamba, he has been inconsistent to start his UFC career, going 2-2 over his first four fights. It’s hard to trust his inconsistency, especially against Lee, who is a better striker and grappler than Cuamba. Let’s back Lee to win as our final play.
