UFC 326 Preview and Prediction: Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira

The next big UFC event is set for this weekend, that being UFC 326. This event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The card will consist of 13 total fights, highlighted by a title fight in the UFC lightweight division between Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira. Further, all of the UFC 326 action can be streamed on Paramount+.

The UFC 326 main event will be a rematch between Holloway and Oliveira, as Holloway won the first fight by first-round KO/TKO in August 2015.

Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira Odds and Betting Trends

While both of these fighters have had successful UFC careers, Holloway has been set as the heavy favourite on the MMA odds. As it stands, Holloway is priced at -225, while Oliveira is catching +168.

Other popular betting markets suggest this fight will end inside the distance (-230), as opposed to going to the judges (+178).

If you are looking to bet on a more specific method of victory, you can get Holloway to win by KO/TKO or submission at +135, while Oliveira to win by KO/TKO or submission is priced at +210.

Max Holloway

Holloway enters this fight with an MMA record of 27-8, including 23-8 in the UFC. His most recent UFC fight resulted in a win against Dustin Poirier by unanimous decision back in July 2025.

Throughout his long UFC career, Holloway has almost exclusively been a striker. He averages 7.20 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 48 per cent. Further, he absorbs 4.74 strikes per minute.

This is compared to his grappling, where he is averaging just 0.24 takedowns every 15 minutes with a takedown accuracy of 53 per cent and a takedown defence of 83 per cent.

Charles Oliveira

Oliveira enters this fight with an MMA record of 36-11, including 24-11 in the UFC. He most recently beat Mateusz Gamrot by submission back in October 2025.

Oliveira has been in the UFC even longer than Holloway, but unlike Holloway, he has had more of a balanced fighting style. Oliveira averages 3.35 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 54 per cent when he’s on his feet. On the mat, he averages 2.22 takedowns every 15 minutes with 2.6 submission attempts during the same period. Further, Oliveira has a takedown accuracy of 40 per cent and a takedown defence of 54 per cent.

UFC 326 prediction: Who will win Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira?

Given that Holloway is the significant favourite in this fight, I am going to be looking at a round prop, though he is probably a worthy favourite.

Holloway has seen his last 18 UFC fights enter at least the third round, while Oliveira has seen five of his last 11 UFC fights enter the third round.

Despite Oliveira’s finishing ability, Holloway has always been known for his ability to not be finished. In fact, Holloway has lost only twice by finish in the UFC, and just once before the third round. For that reason, backing this fight to start round 3 (-174) makes more sense than a play on the moneyline.
