Andrea Lee vs. Maycee Barber: UFC Fight Night Odds, Prediction
Lee is a veteran of the sport and is now 34 years old. She’s lost four of her last six UFC bouts and some are wondering if she’s in the twilight of her career. However, she is ranked 11th in the UFC’s flyweight rankings while Barber – her opponent on Saturday – is 13th. The oddsmakers seem to disagree with the rankings, though, as the 24-year-old Barber is a sizable favorite in this bout. Which of the two is the best bet on Saturday’s card?

Andrea Lee Odds
Lee might be listed as the underdog here but she’s quite confident that she’s going to get the win. She’s been talking about what she’ll do after she gets the win this weekend, openly calling for a Top 10 opponent after this. She might want to focus on Barber and not overlook a fighter that many see is on the rise.
Lee has had some ups and downs in her career. Generally speaking, she’s fairly inconsistent but she has had some good wins – including one over Antonina Shevchenko, the sister of former champ Valentina.
She has an underrated submission game but she doesn’t have much power in her hands. Of her 13 wins, five were by submission, five were by decision and just three by knockout. She’ll be looking to win this either via points or to take this to the ground and try to gain her edge there.
Maycee Barber Odds
Barber was once viewed as a prospect on the rise in the sport. At 24 years of age, she’s still young but it also feels like she’s had quite a journey already. She shined in the Dana White Contender Series and many thought that she’d be a future champion. That was back in 2018 and injuries have taken their toll since. She won three fights in a row after the DWCS – all by knockout – and looked very impressive. Then she in 2020 and 2021, dealt with injuries and fell down the rankings. Most recently, though, Barber has won three in a row and this bout will tell us where she’s really at. A dominant win here and she’s likely back in the Top 10 and back on track as a potential champ in the making. A loss would really sour the trajectory of her career, though.
Given that she’s won three in a row, she seems like the better bet here. She’s excellent on the ground with her wrestling and she also has some power in her hands as five of her last eight wins are via knockout. Not only is she the more well-rounded fighter overall, momentum seems to be on her side given her recent form.
Andrea Lee vs. Maycee Barber Prediction:
Barber via decision
