2026 World Series Odds: Dodgers open as +350 favourites, Blue Jays at +2000

The L.A. Dodgers repeated as World Series champions in 2025 after an epic seven-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Now it’s time to look ahead to 2026 and the MLB futures board, with the Dodgers opening as favourites to win a third straight title.

2026 World Series

It’s no surprise to see L.A. as a +350 favourite to win a third straight title. The Dodgers are the first team to win back-to-back World Series’ since the Yankees won three straight from 1998 to 2000.

L.A. will always be a contender as long as they continue to run themselves like a first-class organization with an emphasize on player development and a seemingly unlimited budget.

The Dodgers have the likes of Shohei Ohtani, Yasinobu Yamaoto, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and other locked up long-term and ownership is willing to spend whatever it takes to stay competitive.

Other contenders

However, L.A. isn’t a sure thing. They were forced to go through the wild-card in this year’s playoffs after a 93-win season and Toronto largely outplayed them in the World Series.

The Blue Jays open the off-season at +2000 to win the World Series in 2026, tied with Atlanta and San Diego for the eighth-shortest odds.

But there are several question marks regarding Toronto’s roster next year. Star shortstop Bo Bichette says he wants to stay, but he is a free agent that will command a lot of attention on the open market.

And does 41-year-old Max Scherzer retire, play another year with the Jays, or move to another team? Will trade deadline acquisition Shane Bieber decline his player option and elect free agency?

Can rookie Trey Yesavage continue to excel in his first full season in the majors, or was his late season run just a really good stretch of baseball that is unsustainable long-term?

Plenty of other teams will be legitimate contenders in 2026. The Yankees will undoubtedly be a threat in the AL East after reaching the World Series in 2024, while National League teams like the Phillies and Mets are each spending big money to make a run.

For now, it’s the Dodgers world and the rest of baseball is playing catch up.
