2024 Procore Championship: PGA Tour Golf Betting Odds
Sahith Theegala and Wyndham Clark are co-favourites on the golf odds.
You aren’t going to see Tour Championship and FedExCup winner Scottie Scheffler in any Fall Series events as it’s not like he needs the world ranking points or the money as Scheffler has won a ridiculous $62 million this year, by far the most money won in Tour history. Only seven PGA Tour players in history have earned more money than Scheffler did in their entire careers.
The Fall Series isn’t for the Tour’s top players but those guys looking to keep/earn their card and get into Signature Events and majors in 2025. Tournaments in the Fall Series do offer winners the same benefits as regular events, including a two-year exemption on the Tour, 500 FedExCup points and spots in season-opening Sentry, The Players Championship, and the majors that invite PGA Tour winners.
Top 125 eligibility, which provides exempt status into full-field events, is finalized after the fall. Nos. 51-70 in the FedExCup points to start the fall have clinched their Top 125 eligibility but are competing for spots in the first two Signature Events following the 2025-opening The Sentry.
This tournament previously was called the Fortinet Championship and is held at Silverado’s North Course, a par 72 at approximately 7,125 yards in Napa, Calif. It has hosted since 2014. Fortinet originally had a six-year deal to serve as title sponsor but only did so from 2021-23.
Americans have won this event eight straight years with California native Theegala prevailing in 2023 (we simply chose an American) by tying the tournament record with a score of 21-under 267 in his first PGA Tour victory. Theegala began the final round with a two-shot lead and pulled away by playing his first five holes in 3 under. Theegala hasn’t won since but is having a really nice year and has come close to a second victory a few times. Max Homa, the two-time defending champion, closed with a 69 to tie for seventh.
The PGA Tour goes on another break next week ahead of the Presidents Cup starting Sept. 26 in Montreal.
Procore Championship Golf Odds
Defending champion Sahith Theegala and Wyndham Clark are +1100 favourites. Theegala looks to join Max Homa (2021 & ’22) and Brendan Steele (2016 & ’17) are the only players to repeat here and win the tournament twice. Theegala also was sixth at this tournament in 2022 and comes off a third-place finish at the Tour Championship. Clark has never contended in this tournament. He did have a win in California (Pebble Beach) in February and finished no worse than T13 in any of the FedExCup playoff events.
Canada’s Corey Conners is +1400 with Homa at +1800, and Luke Clanton and Maverick McNealy both at +2000. Conners, who will play in the upcoming Presidents Cup, has a best result of 13th in this tournament and hasn’t missed a cut in 2024.
Homa has won here twice as noted but hasn’t had a very good 2024 with no wins. Clanton is the game’s top-ranked amateur who has three Top 10s on the PGA Tour this year. McNealy finished second here by a shot to Homa in 2021 but hadn’t contended in the tournament otherwise.
Canadian Mike Weir won the first staging of this tournament in 2007 at a different course. It was Weir’s last PGA Tour victory. Mackenzie Hughes was the top finisher last year at T52 with Taylor Pendrith and Michael Gligic missing the cut. Hughes is +4500 this week with Adam Svensson +5000, Nick Taylor +6600, Ben Silverman +9000 and Roger Sloan +17500.
Procore Championship Golf Predictions
I simply recommend an American winner again but no price active on that yet. For an individual, take Brendon Todd at +3300. He has an average score of 69.71 in his past 14 rounds in this event with back-to-back Top 10s but yet to win.
