First place and home field is on the line for the Calgary Stampeders when they travel to BC to face the Lions.

This will be the third and final regular season game between the Stampeders and Lions. The previous two games were split with both teams winning on home turf. Both games were determined by four points or less.

Head to head the Stampeders 4-1-1 against the spread in the last six games in BC, but the Stamps are also 1-4 ATS in their last five Saturday games. The Stampeders are 11-6 on the season, but 4-4 on the road this season.

If both the Stamps and Riders win, the Stamps will host the Blue Bombers in the West semi-final. However, if the Stampeders lose to the Lions, they will travel to Winnipeg for the West semi-final.

Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell has been a throwing machine in the last five games, throwing for 1795 yards for an average of 359 yards per game and 11 touchdowns.

A favourite target has been Reggie Begelton who is ranked third in the CFL in receiving yards with 1384. He is also tied for second in touchdown catches with 10.

BC Lions

The Lions sit on a 5-12 record, and this game with the Stamps marks the conclusion of the 2019 season for the club. The Lions have a 3-5 home record, and are a dismal 0-9 against the West division. Entering this game, the Lions have lost two straight games.

Receiver Bryan Burnham is the likely candidate to be the teams for MOP. He’s had a monster season with 10 receiving touchdowns and 1401 yards which ranks him second in the league.

Running back John White is only 40 yards away for 1000 yards for the season. It’s a goal the offensive line will be looking to achieve for him on Saturday.

Speaking of the offensive line, in the first 10 games of the season, the o-line allowed a CFL leading 43 sacks against, but then saw a coaching change. Enter Kelly Bates, and the through the next four games they only allowed five sacks against.
