Stampeders vs. Argonauts Prediction: CFL Week 10 Point Spread, Odds

Week 10 around the CFL kicks off Thursday night with Toronto playing its first true home game of the season – due to the World Cup – as it welcomes the Calgary Stampeders for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.

The Argonauts are 1.5-point underdogs on the CFL odds with a massive total of 67.5 that is the highest of the week.

CFL Odds and Betting

Because BMO Field was one of two Canadian host stadiums for the World Cup, the Argonauts had to take their show on the road for the first nine weeks of the regular season, although technically the team was “home” in Saskatchewan (Week 4), Winnipeg (Week 6) and Hamilton (Week 7). Toronto is 17-9 at BMO Field over the last three seasons, and this is the only scheduled Thursday night game there in 2026.

So it’s hard to know what to make of Toronto even though the season is about half finished with the Argos sitting second in the East Division, six points behind first-place Montreal – which has played an extra game. Calgary, which is 3-1 away, is third in the West Division.

This concludes the season series as the Stampeders look for a fourth straight win vs. the Argos. Calgary was -1.5 at home in Week 5 when it routed Toronto, 58-36. Vernon Adams Jr. had the game of his career with six TD passes, tying the franchise record, and one rushing score. Jalen Philpot and Dejon Brissett both caught two touchdown passes. Calgary’s 58 points were the highest for the club since 56 vs. Edmonton on Sept. 10, 2022. Toronto’s Chad Kelly threw for 294 yards and three scores but was picked off twice in a losing effort.

Each of the Stamps’ past three wins in the series have bene by double digits. Toronto’s last victory was at home in August 2024.

Calgary Stampeders

Calgary was -4.5 in Hamilton last week and won a second straight away in blowout fashion, 44-20, to return to .500 on the season. Quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. was fairly quiet considering the Stampeders put up 44 points as he threw for 252 yards and a TD, his league-leading 21st touchdown pass, and he is still yet to throw a pick. Dejon Brissett caught six balls for 109 yards and that score. It was Brissett’s fifth TD of the season, tying a career high he set in 2023.

But it was the defence that was the big story, with four sacks, a pick-six and a forced fumble returned for a score. Linebacker Marquel Lee was all over the place with one forced fumble, two sacks and four total tackles. Pass-rusher Clarence Hicks didn’t have a sack but generated eight pressures against Hamilton. Visiting teams went 4-0 in Week 9, incidentally. Calgary is 5-0 ATS in its past five as a favourite.

Toronto Argonauts

Perhaps a bye in Week 9 came at a bad time for Toronto as it played one of its best games of the season in Week 8, winning 26-12 at the B.C. Lions as 3.5-point favourites. Chad Kelly completed 15 of 18 passes for 197 yards and threw two touchdown passes to Makai Polk. Kelly was injured late in the first half after taking a hit to the head/neck area from Lions linebacker Darnell Sankey while sliding to the ground and replaced by Nick Arbuckle. But Kelly was at practice to start this week. He is third in the league in passing yards (2,323) and second in TD passes (17).

Toronto made a trade this week in acquiring Canadian offensive lineman Chris Kolankowski from Hamilton for a sixth-round CFL draft pick next year. The 34-year-old spent his first three CFL seasons with the Argonauts from 2016-18. Three of Toronto’s four losses this year have been by single digits, including two by one score. The Argonauts only have six true home games on the schedule for the season, so they need to take advantage of them. The over is 4-0 in the Argos’ past four as underdogs, but that total of 67.5 is just too high.
