Roughriders vs. Argonauts Prediction: CFL Week 4 Point Spread, Odds
The lone Friday night game in CFL Week 4 is a crossover matchup as East Division third-place Toronto “visits” West Division co-leading Saskatchewan with a 9 p.m. ET kick. The Roughriders are 3.5-point favourites on the CFL odds with a total of 57.5 that is tied for highest of the week.
CFL Odds and Betting
Toronto got the short end of the stick in terms of the 2026 CFL regular-season as the Argonauts haven’t played a home game yet and will not until Week 10 vs. Calgary. That’s of course because BMO Field is being used for the World Cup. So if the Argos can just tread water in the early going, obviously a home-heavy slate is coming the second half of the season.
The club is 1-1 away thus far – although technically this is deemed a home game because the other meeting with the Riders this year in Week 13 is also at Mosaic Stadium. Saskatchewan enters Week 4 as one of two unbeatens along with Edmonton and as the +270 favourite to repeat as Grey Cup champion.
The Roughriders won both meetings last year by at least seven points, with the home final score at 27-19. That victory allowed the Roughriders top clinch top spot in the West Division for the ninth time in franchise history. Trevor Harris threw for 340 yards and two scores. Down five with less than five minutes remaining, the Argos went for it on third down but were stopped and then thew a pick on their final possession.
Saskatchewan is 4-1 ATS in the past five meetings, and the over is 7-3 in the past 10.
Saskatchewan Roughriders
While Toronto leads the CFL in scoring at 37.0 points per game, Saskatchewan is second at 35.5 PPG after a 40-37 overtime win at Calgary in Week 3. The Stamps trailed 23-7 late in the first half but forced overtime by scoring a touchdown with 34 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. But they were held
to a field goal on both of its possessions in overtime. After the second stop, Saskatchewan won it when backup QB Tommy Stevens scored the second of his two short rushing TDs in the game. Starting QB Trevor Harris was great, throwing for 349 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. Harris’ third TD gave him 210 career TD throws to tie him with Canadian Football Hall of Famer Dieter Brock for 14th on the CFL’s all-time list. Harris, who entered the CFL in 2012 with the Argos, is only the third Roughrider to throw at least three touchdown passes in each of the team’s first two regular-season games. Harris’ favourite target was Kian Schaffer-Baker, who had eight grabs for 130 yards and two scores. The Riders are 5-0-1 ATS in their past six overall.
Toronto Argonauts
After losing in Montreal in the season opener in Week 2, the Argos looked much better last Saturday in a 44-24 blowout win at Ottawa, easily covering at -2.5 and blowing past the total of 55.5. Chad Kelly had quite the memorable game with 424 yards passing (his second straight 400-yard game) and four scored but also four interceptions (he had only had seven total incompletions) – there were nine total giveaways in the game. “I gotta clean some turnovers up,” Kelly said after. “I had to try to find the one-on-one matchups.” Kevin Mital caught eight passes for 178 yards, his second straight 100-yard game.
Toronto’s offence tallied up 523 total yards in giving Mike Miller his first win as head coach. And it came in the Argos’ first meeting against former head coach Ryan Dinwiddie. With Ottawa down 12 and just under three minutes left, Daniel Adeboboye was stopped on a third-down gamble at Toronto’s 1-yard line. Toronto is 1-6 SU in its past seven.
