CFL Odds: Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-sign QB Bo Levi Mitchell on two-year deal

Veteran quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell is sticking around for another couple of years in the Hammer.

Here’s what you need to know.

Bo Levi Mitchell

Mitchell is re-signing with Hamilton on a two-year deal. The 35-year-old is coming off one of the strongest seasons of his career, leading the CFL in both passing yards (5,296) and passing TDs (career-high 36) with just 11 interceptions.

It was the second straight year the two-time Grey Cup champion, two-time Grey Cup MVP and two-time Most Outstanding Player led the league in passing yards and passing TDs.

“It’s exciting to be back,” Mitchell said Thursday. ”As soon as the season was over, I just didn’t feel like it was over. I took the pads off, and it didn’t feel like I was taking them off for the last time. So I was very, very excited to make this decision.”

Ti-Cats head coach Scott Milanovich had some strong praise for his No. 1 quarterback.

“Bo is a proven winner and an elite competitor,” said Milanovich. “His impact on our locker-room and our organization goes well beyond what shows up on the stat sheet. He sets the standard every day with his preparation, leadership and toughness, and he’s exactly the kind of quarterback you want to lead your team. His command of the offence, ability to process in real time, and willingness to be coached elevates everyone around him. Having that kind of presence at quarterback is invaluable.”

Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Hamilton finished 2025 with an East Division-leading 11-7 record before they were bounced by Montreal in the East Final, 19-16.

Essentially bringing the whole band back together after that strong season makes the Tiger-Cats arguably the best value on the CFL futures board at +1000 to win the Grey Cup in 2026.
