Blue Bombers vs. Argonauts Prediction: CFL Week 4 Point Spread, Odds
The Winnipeg Bombers continued rolling this season with a 26-12 home win against Hamilton last week. Meanwhile, the Toronto Argonauts are looking to bounce back after suffering an embarrassing 44-3 loss in B.C. in Week 3.
Winnipeg is a 5-point favourite to win on the CFL odds, with a total of 42.5.
CFL Odds and Betting
Home field advantage has been key in recent years between these teams. The home team has won eight of the last nine meetings, including five straight heading into Monday. The teams split a home-and-home last season, with the Bombers winning 20-7 in Week 2 and the Argos striking back with a 30-23 victory in Week 3.
One of the few blemishes on Winnipeg’s record over the last few years has been their trips to Toronto, where they’ve dropped six of their last eight games. They have, however, managed to go 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 games against the Argonauts and they’re 2-1 ATS overall this season. The total has gone Under in all three of the Blue Bombers’ games this year.
The Argos have been great at home, winning nine of their last 11 games at BMO Field, including their only home contest this season. They haven’t managed to cover in either of their games this season, however, and they’re 1-7 ATS in their last eight overall dating back to last season. The total has gone Under in both of Toronto’s games this year.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Defensive lineman Willie Jefferson had himself a game against Hamilton last week, leading the Bombers to their third win of the season. Jefferson recorded three tackles, a sack and a fourth-quarter pick-six to keep the defending Grey Cup champions perfect on the year. It was a performance that also earned Jefferson CFL top performer of the week honours. Quarterback Zach Collaros completed 21 of 32 pass attempts for 302 yards and an interception, but didn’t throw a touchdown pass. Brady Oliveira rushed for 56 yards and the lone offensive touchdown for Winnipeg.
Nic Demski led all receivers in the game with 96 yards, but he left early in the third quarter with an apparent ankle injury and did not return. Demski, who has 11 catches for 126 yards in three games this season, is expected to miss at least a couple of games. That puts more responsibility on the shoulders of Greg Ellingson and Rasheed Bailey. The duo combined for eight catches and 131 yards against the Ticats.
Toronto Argonauts
It’s tough to pull anything positive for Toronto out of their blowout loss last week in B.C. The Argos were torched for 44 points behind a big performance from Canadian quarterback Nathan Rourke. Toronto’s lone scoring play in the game came off a 23-yard field goal from Boris Bede.
Quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson was held to just 178 passing yards. Thompson connected on 15 of 21 pass attempts and threw one interception. He was sacked twice before being replaced by Chad Kelly in the fourth quarter. Kelly wasn’t any better, connecting on two of six pass attempts for 26 yards and one interception. Kelly was also sacked once.
