Dallas Wings vs. Indiana Fever: WNBA Picks, Preview and Prediction

These teams will now meet twice over the next week, starting with tonight’s tilt in Indiana at 7:30 PM ET.

The Fever continue to ascend the standings thanks to winning seven of their past nine, including a 106-92 triumph over New York on Tuesday. Kelsey Mitchell, Caitlin Clark, and Aliyah Boston combined for 69 points, and Clark dished out 10 assists. 

Dallas is still well on its way to its first postseason berth in three years, with two disastrous regular seasons now in the rearview mirror, but the team has struggled of late, losing five of seven.

The Wings got back in the win column with a 94-88 victory over Toronto on Wednesday as Paige Bueckers had 22 points and 8 assists and Arike Ogunbowale added 21 points. The team was missing Jessica Shepard and Azzi Fudd and has to hope both will return soon.  

Dallas Wings vs. Indiana Fever WNBA Odds and Betting Trends

Indiana currently sits as -5.5 home favourites with a -240 moneyline. Dallas is at +195. The Wings covered as underdogs in the season opener and have won the last two meetings dating back to last season. 

The over/under for this contest is 187.5. The Fever took three of four games from Dallas last season, totalling more than 187.5 points in two of those meetings. 

Indiana is averaging a WNBA-leading 96.2 points and has upped that to 104.2 per game over their past nine contests. They have scored at least 100 points eight times during that span.

And they are still allowing 90.4 points a game. If tonight is anything other than a high-scoring contest, it would be a shock. 

Dallas Wings

The Wings won Tuesday despite being without the services of Jessica Shepard and Azzi Fudd. Shepard missed her first game of the season with an injured ankle. The double-double machine, who is averaging 14.2 points, a team-high 11.4 rebounds, and 5.2 assists, is out again this evening.

As is Fudd. The 2026 No. 1 overall pick is averaging 13.1 points, but she will miss her fourth straight contest with knee soreness.

To make things worse, Aziaha James, a valuable reserve averaging 6.1 points, will miss her first game tonight with a leg injury. She had scored in double figures in two of the past three games in Fudd’s absence. 

Indiana Fever

A full season of Clark certainly helps. The third-year guard played in just 13 games last year, but she is averaging a career-high 21.7 points while playing in 29 of 33 contests.

She is third in the league in scoring, with Mitchell just ahead of her at 24.3 points per game. They have both been on fire recently. Mitchell is averaging 28.8 points in her last 10 games, while Clark is averaging 25.1.

Add in a typical Boston performance, like Tuesday night’s 19-point, 7-rebound output, and the team is tough to beat.

No Shepard, Fudd, or James? Bueckers and Ogunbowale are good, but Indiana is playing some of its best ball of the season.
