TNF Bengals at Ravens

Two teams trending in opposite directions close out a three-game U.S. Thanksgiving Day schedule. The Bengals have dropped four straight, while the Ravens have jumped to the top of the AFC North with a five-game win streak.

There’s a little more positivity for Cincinnati in this one as they’ll see the return of quarterback Joe Burrow, who hasn’t played since Week 2 because of a toe injury.

This number has shifted pretty dramatically, opening at Baltimore -5.5 and moving to -7.5. I’m all over the Bengals in this one.

That’s a huge number to cover in a divisional game and these teams always play each other tough. Last year the first game went to overtime and the second was decided by one point.

The return of Burrow should be enough to keep Cincinnati competitive.

Pick: Bengals +7.5

Friday, Bears at Eagles

It’s time to find out if the 8-3 Bears are for real as they prepare to face defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia, also 8-3.

Chicago is playing with fire, posting some of the worst defensive numbers in the league. They rely on a top-six offence, particularly a rushing attack that averages 142.3 yards per game on the ground, the second-best number in the NFL.

I see this as a wake up game for the Eagles, who are coming off a tough loss in Dallas. Philly has dominated at home, going 15 -1 straight up in their last 16 games at Lincoln Financial Field and covering in nine of their last 12 at home.

It’s time for the Bears to go into hibernation, while the champs fly high.

Pick: Eagles -7

Bills at Steelers

This is a battle between two teams desperately trying to climb to the top of their respective divisions, with 6-5 Pittsburgh hosting 7-4 Buffalo.

It’s tough to gauge what kind of threat the Bills really are. Josh Allen has carried the team all year, but there’s only so much he can do, which was evident last week when Houston sacked him eight times.

That’s concerning against a Steelers defensive unit that ranks third in quarterbacks hits and fifth in total sacks this season.

I have faith Allen can lead Buffalo to a win, but I don’t like laying more than a field goal.

Pick: Bills moneyline (-190)

SNF Broncos at Commanders

Sunday Night Football is a huge mismatch on paper, with the 9-2 Broncos riding an eight-game winning streak, while the 3-8 Commanders have dropped six in a row.

Despite Denver’s success, they haven’t blown opponents away. The Broncos are in the bottom half of the league in points per game and they produced just 22, 10 and 18 points in their last three games respectively.

It’s really the defensive side of the ball where Denver shines as they rank third in total yards allowed, rushing yards allowed and scoring defence.

On the flip side, the only thing Washington does well offensively is run the ball, which will slow the clock and keep this game low scoring.

Pick: Under 43.5

MNF Giants at Patriots

This is another game that sets up as a blowout on paper. The 10-2 Patriots have won nine straight games and they’re up against the 2-10 Giants, who have lost six in a row and haven’t won a road game all year.

New York has been bad, but not as bad as this +7.5 spread indicates. The Giants have blown multiple late leads this year, allowing a league-worst 11.1 points per fourth quarter. That gives me faith they can hang with New England and at least keep this within a touchdown.

I’m also leaning Under when it comes to the total. I think the Patriots will try to expose New York’s league-worst run defence, which should chew up the clock.

Pick: Giants +7.5, Under 46
