The Dutch, ranked 16th in the world, finished top of a rather weak Group C with a perfect nine points.  They were one of three countries with nine points in group stage play, picking up wins over Austria, Ukraine and North Macedonia and finishing with a goal differential of plus-6. The Netherlands didn’t even qualify for Euro 2016. No team was more impressive in the group stage as the Dutch totalled a tournament-high eight goals and scored at least two in each match. Georginio Wijnaldum, who will play next season for French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain (had been at Liverpool), scored three of those. He is +275 for an anytime goal in this match. The Dutch favourite anytime scorer is Memphis Dupay at +123.  Dupay has two goals in the tournament.

The side is coached by Frank De Boer, who took over in September 2020 for Ronald Koeman, who quit to join Spanish club superpower Barcelona. De Boer, who had a failed stint as a manager in the MLS with Atlanta United, was an assistant to Bert van Marwijk when the Netherlands reached the World Cup final in 2010 and lost to Spain. He also played for and coached Dutch club power Ajax.

Czech Republic

The Czechs, ranked 40th in the world, finished third behind England and Croatia in Group D with four points and a goal differential of plus-1. They opened the tournament with a 2-0 win over Scotland, drew 1-1 with the Croats and lost 1-0 to England to conclude group play. England won the group with that victory. All three goals in this tournament for the Czech Republic have come from Patrik Schick – he had a stunning 54-yard goal against the Scots. Schick plays club soccer for the Bundesliga’s Bayer Leverkusen and also led the Czechs with four goals in Euro qualifying. He is +285 for an anytime goal in this match and +900 for the game’s first goal.

At Euro 2016, the Czechs didn’t make it out of the group stage. They are coached by Jaroslav Silhavy, who made a national-record 465 appearances as a player in his country’s top domestic league.
