EPL Soccer Picks, Predictions: Erling Haaland running away in scoring race

Liverpool’s perfect record finally ended last week as they slipped 2-1 to an undefeated Crystal Palace to shake things up. Erling Haaland continues to pull away on the scoring charts, while Jack Grealish leads in assists.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Man City all return from the Champions League this week with their eyes all set on picking up points for Matchday Seven of the EPL.

Get the rundown of my latest best bet picks for this week’s biggest three games, and decide if they’re something you want to follow.

EPL Chelsea vs. Liverpool best bet: Chelsea +0.5 (-165)

This will be the 200th meeting between the two English giants, with Liverpool leading the head-to-head with 87 historical wins over Chelsea’s 66. In their last five clashes, Liverpool have won three games, tying just one, while Chelsea earned the most recent 3-1 victory in May 2025. Over their five latest games, there were a combined 15 goals.

Chelsea scraped out a 1-0 win against Benfica in the Champions League this week as they return to face the league leaders. The Blues are uncomfortably sitting at eighth place with eight points on the table, with their most recent domestic league match ending in a 3-1 loss to Brighton. Joao Pedro remains the highest hope to score anytime for Chelsea today at +215.

Liverpool, on the other hand, is currently amidst an uncharacteristic two-game losing streak. They fell 1-0 to Galatasaray midweek after last weekend’s 2-1 defeat at Palace. Liverpool’s form is certainly shaken up, with Chelsea on the rise and hungry for points, and the Blues taking home-field advantage at Stamford Bridge. While I sense a draw on the horizon, I’m going with Chelsea +0.5.

EPL Everton vs. Crystal Palace best bet: Draw (+190)

The two sides face off for the 54th time in history, with Everton winning the majority at 23 compared to Palace’s 12. More draws have occurred in this fixture (18) than Palace victories, yet Crystal Palace is having its best season to date. In their last five matchups, two draws have occurred, and Everton has won three, most recently 2-1 when they met last February.

Everton sits in ninth with eight points, although they take home-field advantage Sunday at Hill Dickinson Stadium, with their most recent game against West Ham ending in a 1-1 draw. Jack Grealish leads the assist charts with four and comes into this one priced at +475 to earn 1+ assists.

Crystal Palace reside in third place with 12 points and remain as the only undefeated team in this Premier League season. They concluded their last game victorious 2-1 to cut Liverpool’s perfect season short, and Ismaila Sarr leads his team with three goals after six games. He’s marked to score anytime at +320, along with teammate Jean-Philippe Mateta (two goals this season) at +215. While Palace is riding high and Everton stands vulnerable, the Toffees take home-field advantage. With the history of draws between the two sides, five combined so far this season, I predict another 1-1 draw for this matchup.

EPL best player prop bet: Erling Haaland Anytime Goalscorer (-110)

While my first goalscorer prop pick didn’t hit last week, the two-time Golden Boot winner struck the back of the net twice against Burnley. Priced at -110 to score anytime this week, I’m certain Haaland will continue his reign of terror against Brentford (11 goals allowed) to increase Man City’s hopes of chasing after the Premier League title this season.
