CF Montreal and Atlanta both concluded their three-game play in the 2025 Leagues Cup against teams from Liga MX, with Le CFM and the Five Stripes both finishing with one win and two losses. Neither club is scoring at a great clip and both defences are faltering at every turn.

The postseason is nonexistent for the Impact and a fleeting opportunity for Atlanta. However, both teams recorded positive results and came away with points in their last MLS matchups.

CF Montreal is a +125 favourite to win on the MLS odds, while Atlanta is a +185 underdog and a tie is priced at +260.

CF Montréal vs. Atlanta United Odds and Betting Trends

The recent history between these two sides is very tense. Le CFM holds a slight 4-3-3 in the last 10 matches. The teams have played to the over in eight of those 10 contests, scoring a total of 35 goals, with each club only recording one clean sheet apiece.

CF Montréal is 12-10-3 against the spread this season, but just 3-7-1 ATS at home, where it has gone 1-7-3 and earned just six points all season. Atlanta is a lowly 6-16-2 against the spread, and 3-7-1 ATS on the road. United, at 0-7-4, are one of just two MLS squads without a road win this season, along with the LA Galaxy. Atlanta has just four road points.

CF Montréal

The Impact replaced coach Laurent Courtois after a 0-4-1 start, but interim coach Marco Donadel has failed to inspire, with the squad going 3-12-5 against the Eastern Conference to date. The team has scored 23 goals this year, less than one a game, while surrendering 46. Only the Galaxy and DC United have allowed more in league play.

Le CFM did go on the road and knock off the New England Revolution, 3-1, ahead of Leagues Cup Play. Prince-Osei Owusu, who leads the club with 11 goals, scored in the win, along with Dante Sealy and Olger Escobar.

Atlanta United

United have gone winless for more than 10 weeks in MLS play, a span of eight matches (0-4-4). The team’s last win came on May 28. It will be hard-pressed to record a victory Saturday with its putrid road record. Atlanta has scored a goal or fewer in 10 of its 11 games away from Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The team did defeat Atlas, 4-1, in its last match, the final of three Leagues Cup contests. Aleksey Miranchuk, Jamal Thiaré, Saba Lobjanidze and Cayman Togashi tallied for the club. Miranchuk also scored for Atlanta in a 2-2 draw with the Seattle Sounders at home in the club’s last MLS outing last month.

MLS Prediction: Who Will Win CF Montréal vs. Atlanta United?

A club that can’t win on the road against a side that can’t muster victories at home smells like a 1-1 or 2-2 draw. Atlanta’s Miguel Almirón, who has three goals and six assists after returning to his former MLS club following a stint with Premier League side Newcastle United, could feature critically here.

So could Emmanuel Latte Lath, the Senegalese international who had a brace in a season-opening 3-2 win for United over CF Montréal at home in February. In a mild upset considering the respective home and away records, look for Atlanta to sneak out of Saputo Stadium with a 2-1 victory to stay in the playoff chase.
