World Cup Day 13 Betting Parlay Picks: Superstars Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo in Action Tuesday
There are four matches around the World Cup on Tuesday, which is Day 13 of the tournament. We will focus on the first two games from the United States – the night matches are from Toronto and Guadalajara, Mexico. My most recent World Cup parlay picks were Day 6 last Tuesday, and that was quite profitable if you followed on the soccer odds.

Portugal vs. Uzbekistan – Group K
Location: Houston, Texas
Time: Tuesday, 1 p.m. ET
How to watch in Canada: TSN, TSN+
Colombia is atop Group K and faces the Congo DR, which is second in the group with a point, late Tuesday from Guadalajara, Mexico. Portugal sits third after drawing with the Congo in their opener. All advancing scenarios thus advance for those two countries, but Portugal have to win this game to be in with a chance of topping this group and without having to depend on other results.
Uzbekistan was widely considered the weakest team of the group and is bottom following its 3-1 loss to Colombia. If Uzbekistan loses here and Congo DR defeat Colombia, then the Asian nation will be eliminated from advancing.
It might be time for Portugal to bench legend Cristiano Ronaldo as he’s just not a major factor these days on the world stage at age 41. Four years ago in Qatar, then Portugal coach Fernando Santos did drop Ronaldo after the group games but current boss Roberto Martinez is sticking with him.
Ronaldo had only 29 touches against Congo with three shots and none on target; those were his second-fewest touches ever in a WC game. He was criticized afterward by many. Teammate Francisco Conceição said the team does not feel compelled to constantly look for Ronaldo.
“We don’t have any obligation or need to pass the ball to him,” Conceição said.
Bruno Fernandes is now the team’s star. He had a chance to put Portugal on top in the 90th minute vs. Congo, but his shot was wide right.
While Portugal is ranked ninth in the world by FIFA, Uzbekistan is 54th and it was tied with Colombia, 1-1, about 65 minutes into their opener before allowing two late goals.
Portugal vs. Uzbekistan betting pick: Uzbekistan +2.5 (-190)
Parlay pick: Portugal moneyline + Bruno Fernandes anytime goal (+900)
England vs. Ghana– Group L
Location: Foxborough, Massachusetts
Time: Tuesday, 4 p.m. ET
How to watch in Canada: TSN, TSN+
England is atop Group L following a very impressive 4-2 win over Croatia in the opener on a brace from Harry Kane (one via penalty) and goals from Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford. I truly believe the Three Lions are finally ready to end their World Cup title drought after beating a team in the top 15 of the FIFA rankings for the first time since 2002.
Ghana also won its opener, 1-0 over Panama, so is second in the group by goal differential. Caleb Yirenkyi had the lone marker vs. Panama five minutes into second-half stoppage time. Ghana played without top midfielder Thomas Partey, who was denied entry into Canada while he awaits trial on rape charges in England. But the former Arsenal player should go Tuesday.
That match vs. Panama was the first competitive game with the team for coach Carlos Queiroz. He only oversaw one previous match, which was a 1-1 friendly against Wales. While Antoine Semenyo is the best-known Ghana player, the rising star is the 20-year-old Yirenkyi.
The winner of this match will clinch a place in the knockout rounds. If England wins, it would need a Croatia win late Tuesday to win the group. Ghana would need a win and Panama win vs. Croatia at 7 p.m. ET from BMO Field in Toronto.
England vs. Ghana betting pick: Uzbekistan +2.25 (-180)
Parlay pick: England moneyline + Harry Kane anytime goal
