Odds Ronda Rousey Fights in Next WWE Event

It was a prized signing for the WWE back in late 2017 when the wrestling entertainment powerhouse signed former UFC Champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey.

Rousey was arguably one of the biggest WWE signing of all-time and her resume backed that statement up. After becoming the first American woman to earn an Olympic medal in Judo by winning bronze at the2008 Summer Olympics, Rousey began pursuing a career in mixed martial arts. She quickly rose through the ranks and was the UFC’s inaugural female champion when she was named Women’s Bantamweight Champion. Rousey took part in the first women’s fight in UFC history when she successfully defended her title against Liz Carmouche atUFC 157. She still holds the UFC record for most female titles defences with six. In 2018, she became the first female fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

WWE was quick to train the UFC icon and it was only a matter of time until Rousey was part of wrestling’s “SuperBowl” Wrestlemania. Later in August of 2018 she won her first WWE Women’s Championship. That reign lasted just over 230 days.

Recently, the 32-year-old revealed that the reason she’s leaving pro-wrestling is so she could start a family with her husband, fellow MMA fighter Travis Browne. “People think you’re only wrestling as much as they see you on TV, but they don’t realize that there’s three or four other days of live shows during the week,” Rousey told the Wild Ride podcast.

There’s also a lot of speculation that Rousey was not a fan of the WWE Universe (fan base) who were critical of the former UFC championship and her stay in WWE. “I’m not able to spend my time and energy on my family, but instead spending my time and my energy on a bunch of f***ing ungrateful fans that don’t even appreciate me” Rousey said during the podcast.

Rousey is the only woman to win a championship in both the UFC and WWE, as well as the only woman to headline a pay-per-view event in both companies. In a poll on ESPN back in 2015, Rousey was voted the best female athlete of all-time.
