Sharks vs. Golden Knights Game 6 Prediction: NHL Playoffs Betting Odds

The Sharks kept their slim Stanley Cup hopes alive with a convincing 5-2 home victory, and will now head back to Las Vegas looking for just their second victory in six visits to T-Mobile Arena.

Sharks vs Golden Knights Betting Analysis

In an opening round that has featured plenty of even matches from an odds perspective, Vegas is one of the heaviest favourites to date. And it’s easy to see why: Not only have the Golden Knights won four of five home games vs. the Sharks all-time, they’re 9-3 SU in their past 12 games at T-Mobile Arena overall. San Jose, on the other hand, have dropped 12 of their previous 17 games and have just one win in their previous six road games.

The total for this one has been shifted down from 6.5 to 6, but there should be plenty of action on the over considering these teams have combined for seven or more goals in four of the past five games. That has been a pattern with these teams, as they’re 6-1 O/U in their past seven meetings overall and 5-2 to the over in their last seven in Las Vegas. It also helps that San Jose is a red-hot 13-4-1 O/U in its previous 18 games as a road underdog.

San Jose Sharks

While the San Jose duo of Tomas Hertl and Logan Couture might not be as prolific as Vegas’ star-studded triumvirate, they’ve been rather dangerous themselves. Hertl and Couture have combined for seven of the Sharks’ 16 goals in the series, and had three in Friday’s critical 5-2 victory. And while he had an up-and-down regular season, Erik Karlsson has been one of the best skaters in this series, racking up seven assists in five games.

Vegas Golden Knights

Marc-Andre Fleury hasn’t been at his best in this series, boasting a rather ordinary 2.82 goals-against average and .908 save percentage – but there’s something about Sin City that brings out the best in the 34-year-old. He owns a 2.40 goals-against average, a .917 save percentage and six shutouts at T-Mobile Arena on the season, and has already blanked the Sharks once this series at home.
