The Sabres pulled off another come-from-behind victory in Game 3 to take the lead in the series for the second time. Buffalo has outshot the B’s in every game so far, putting tons of pressure on their netminder.
The Bruins are very slight favourites to tie the series, listed at -115 on the NHL odds. The OVER/UNDER is set at an even 6.0 goals.
Sunday afternoon will be a crucial point in the series, with puck drop from TD Garden set for 2 p.m. ET.

Buffalo Sabres
After a tough Game 2 loss, the Sabres had a big response on Thursday night in Boston, playing a great road game to win 3-1 and take the 2-1 series lead. Alex Lyon got the start in goal for the Sabres after Ukka-Pekka Luukkonen gave up a few ugly goals in their 4-2 loss in Game 2. Lyon got the nod for just his fourth career playoff start after getting into three games with the Florida Panthers back in 2023.
Bowen Byram scored for the second straight game, getting the Sabres on the board just past the midway point of the game, tying things at 1-1. Tuch scored his second of the series early in the third to break the tie, beating the goalie high to the blocker side.
Buffalo needs to get off to a better start in one of these games, getting outscored 5-1 through the first 40 minutes of play in the first three games combined.
Boston Bruins
The Bruins need to tighten up in the third period to win this series, as they have allowed the Sabres to come from behind twice and find themselves down 2-1 because of it. They have been outscored 8-3 in the final frame.
The Bruins have scored first in each game so far, with Tanner Jeannot opening the scoring in Game 3 early in the second period. Boston had a chance to go up 2-0, as Viktor Arvidsson missed the net on a penalty shot midway through the second. Instead, Buffalo scored their first of the game just over a minute later, which completely swung momentum in their favour.
Jeremy Swayman has been the MVP in this series so far, posting a .929 save percentage, stopping 92 of the 99 shots he has faced. He has been a game star in all three games in the series and has only been beaten four times in the last two games.
The B’s need to get their fans out of their seats early on Sunday in order to tie this series before heading to Buffalo for Game 5.
