Red Wings vs. Lightning Betting Analysis

Detroit has also missed the Over in their last five games in Tampa Bay. Sports Interaction bettors seem to have noticed the trends, as 95 per cent are backing the Lightning to win.

Detroit Red Wings
Coming in on a six game losing streak, the Wings will actually get a boost to their lineup in Tampa Bay. Robby Fabbri, Adam Erne, Sam Gagner and Jon Merrill are all eligible to return after going through the COVID-19 protocol over the last two weeks. It isn’t all good news for Detroit, however. Tyler Bertuzzi will miss at least the start of their six game road trip after suffering an upper body injury on Saturday. Bertuzzi is second on the Wings in points with seven in nine games (5G, 2A). New captain Dylan Larkin leads the team with nine points in 10 games (4G, 5A).
Detroit comes into this game after dropping a two-game set to the Panthers. The Wings fell 3-2 in overtime on Saturday, before dropping another 3-2 decision, this time in regulation, on Sunday. Larkin and Anthony Mantha were the goal scorers on Sunday. With Bertuzzi out of the lineup, a lot of the offensive load will rest on Larkin’s shoulders. Larkin has six points in his last seven games, but he is playing through an undisclosed injury suffered against Dallas, last week.
Tampa Bay Lightning
After an injury plagued year ended in a Stanley Cup championship last season, Steven Stamkos looks determined to stay healthy and get back in the conversation as one of the best players in the world. Stamkos is leading the Lightning with nine points in seven games (4G, 5A). His power play goal in Tampa Bay’s 5-2 win over Nashville on Monday put Stamkos at 301 career power play points, passing Martin St. Louis for most in franchise history.
Yanni Gourde had two goals in the Nashville game and Andrei Vasilevsky made 26 saves in the win. Vasilevsky is 5-1-1 on the season with a 2.14 goals against average and .926 save percentage. What makes Vasilevsky’s numbers even more impressive is the fact he has made 33 consecutive starts, dating back to last season and the playoffs.
