We should see James Reimer between the pipes for the Panthers in this spot and while Roberto Luongo is considered the No. 1 netminder on this team, Reimer has played better of late. Luongo has dropped four of his last five starts, giving up at least three goals in six of his last eight outings. Reimer has won five straight times, posting an incredible .970 save percentage in those contests while allowing a total of five goals in that span.
This is really just a matter of effort. The Panthers played last night in Toronto and at the New York Islanders on Monday. It’s their third game in four nights on the road and their fourth game overall in six nights. If they’re fatigued, that could be a factor. Otherwise, the Sens should rollover as they haven’t shown any fight of late.

Ottawa Senators
The Senators are 26-39-11 after a 4-3 loss to the Islanders at home on Tuesday. It was their sixth loss in a row and 14th in their last 19 games. Matt Duchene and Bobby Ryan each had a goal and two assists, while Erik Karlsson also scored and Mike Condon made 27 saves for the Senators. It has been a rough time for the Senators both on and off the ice as they’re struggling to close out the season.
This is a team that looks like they just want the season to end so they can go into the offseason and figure out what they’re going to do going forward. What’s concerning of late is that their defense and goaltending have collapsed, allowing at least four goals in five straight games. They’ve allowed 26 goals in that span, losing by a combined 16 goals in those games. That shows just how badly they’ve been worked of late, so it’s tough to back them in any situation.
