The Panthers got on the board quickly in Game 3, with Jonathan Huberdeau scoring his first of the series just 2:45 into the game. That was all the offence they would muster, being held to two or goals or less for the second time in the series.
After boasting the fifth-highest scoring powerplay in the league ticking at 24% in the regular season, they have zero goals to start the series. They have not been able to stay out of the penalty box themselves, putting the Caps on the powerplay six times last game.
Florida is going to need more from their big guns like Huberdeau, Aleksander Barkov and Claude Giroux who all have just two points.
