The Toronto Maple Leafs will vie for a third straight victory on home ice when they return to Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday night to face the Utah Mammoth in NHL betting action. The Maple Leafs wrapped up a four-game Western road trip with Saturday’s 4-2 victory in Vancouver to improve to 5-2-0 in their past seven contests, but return to action in sixth place in the Atlantic Division, five points back of first-place Boston. The Mammoth are coming off a 6-3 loss in Philadelphia on Sunday, and have split the first two games on their current six-game road trip, extending a run of inconsistency that has produced just three wins in their past seven games.

The Mammoth arrive in Toronto perched as -135 road favourites on Tuesday’s NHL odds. The Leafs trail as +110 underdogs, and the total is listed at 6.5.

Mammoth vs. Maple Leafs NHL Betting Odds

These clubs met three weeks ago in Utah, with the Mammoth eking out a 5-4 victory to extend their current head-to-head win streak to two games, but are winless in two visits to Toronto since the franchise relocated from Arizona in 2024. These teams have regularly combined to fill the net, averaging 7.75 total goals per game during a 4-0 run for the OVER in totals betting.

Winners in just three of their first nine games of the campaign, the Maple Leafs have turned things around during their current 5-2-0 run, scoring 4.43 goals per game. However, the club still has work to do on defence but have helped their own cause with strong late-game efforts, averaging two goals scored after 40 minutes during their recent road trip and potting at least one third-period marker in eight straight outings.

The Mammoth attack has sputtered at times during a 3-4-0 run that has not featured consecutive wins, scoring just 2.25 goals per game in their four recent defeats and needing overtime to seal two of their recent wins after blowing early leads. Utah has also been lit up for almost five goals per game while losing two of three on the road.

Utah Mammoth

The Mammoth arrive in Toronto looking to recover from a disappointing 6-3 loss in Philadelphia on Sunday that exposed some familiar defensive problems. The Mammoth entered the second period tied 1-1 before surrendering four consecutive goals. Mikhail Sergachev and Logan Cooley scored third-period power-play goals to narrow the deficit, but the Flyers sealed the deal with an empty-netter. Karel Vejmelka stopped just 15 of 20 shots before the Flyers’ empty-net goal, extending an inconsistent start to the season for Utah’s primary netminder, who now sports a 6-5-0 record with 3.31 goals against average and .872 save percentage.

The Mammoth remain among the league leaders with 3.60 goals scored per game, thanks to plenty of contributions from the defensive corps, which has potted 14 of the club’s 54 markers to date. Sergachev leads the blueline blitz with five goals and 17 points through 15 games, including three goals and five assists during a seven-game point streak. Overall, Clayton Keller leads the club with 18 points, while Logan Cooley has tallied a team-high eight goals.

Toronto Maple Leafs

The Maple Leafs snapped a two-game losing streak with Saturday’s 4-2 victory over the Canucks, salvaging a 2-2-0 record from their four-game road trip. William Nylander opened the scoring and added an assist, while Auston Matthews scored his team-leading 11th goal of the season and Anthony Stolarz made 26 saves. The victory also extended Matthews’ season-opening road point streak to eight games, matching the third-longest such streak in franchise history. Jack Roslovic is on a six-game points streak, potting three goals and seven assists during that span.

However, injuries remain a concern. John Tavares and Kirill Marchenko are out with lower-body issues. Those absences have increased the responsibilities of Nick Paul, Roslovic, and Toronto’s younger forwards. Perhaps most surprising is head coach Jim Hiller’s decision to start Sergei Bobrovsky in net on Tuesday despite his early-season struggles. Bobrovsky has a 3-5-2 record, 3.29 goals-against average and .885 save percentage, and surrendered five goals in his last start, a 5-4 loss to Seattle, including the winning goal in the final minute of regulation.
