The Leafs brought their record above .500 after starting the season 2-4-1.
Campbell’s fifth shutout of his career has the media begging for the Leafs to give him a contract extension. In eight games this year Campbell is 4-2-1 with an impressive 1.99 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage, top 10 in each category.
The Buds are hoping Matthews’ multi-goal game is a sign of him starting to heat up. Their stylish goal scorer only has three goals and four points in seven games.
