Fresh off a hat trick on Wednesday, Mark Scheifele and the Winnipeg Jets have no time to rest as they host the Seattle Kraken on Thursday.

The Jets are playing their fifth game in six days, while Seattle has been idle since their loss on Monday. Winnipeg is a -163 favourite to win on the NHL odds, with a total of 6.0.

Kraken vs. Jets NHL Betting Odds

This will only be the second meeting all-time between the Jets and the Kraken. In December, Jets netminder Connor Hellebuyck stopped all 25 shots to shut out Seattle 3-0 in their home arena. Kyle Connor pushed the offence with two goals to secure the win. Their third and final meeting of the season is scheduled for April 13.

The Kraken’s past three games have all played the Over, bringing them to 28-19 on the year, second-most Overs in the league. They boast a 22-27 record ATS so far this season.

Winnipeg has covered the spread in three of their past four matchups, bringing them to a respectable 26-21 record ATS. Last night’s game hit the Over, putting them 22-21 on the Over/Under.

Seattle Kraken

The Kraken had their hearts broken on Valentine’s Day, losing 6-2 at home to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Goalie Philipp Grubauer had a night to forget, allowing four goals on 11 shots before being pulled after the first period. Up front, Calle Jarnkrok extended his point streak to three games, picking up a goal and an assist.

Seattle’s special teams were horrible Monday night. They allowed a short-handed goal and their penalty kill went 0-2.

The Kraken will be in action again on Saturday when they continue their road trip with a stop in Calgary.

Winnipeg Jets

Schiefele led the way with three goals and an assist in the Jets’ 6-3 win Wednesday night versus the Minnesota Wild. Captain Blake Wheeler stayed hot, picking up four helpers. He now has nine points over his past three games.

Hellebyuck faced a whopping 36 shots and stopped 33. He has started the past six games and has earned himself a night off. Expect to see Eric Comrie get his first start since Jan. 29.

The Jets will get a day off on Friday before wrapping up their homestand Saturday night against the Oilers.
