Kraken vs. Canucks NHL Betting Odds

Tonight will be game three of the four-game season series between these teams. It is the first meeting in Vancouver. The Canucks took Game 1 by a score of 4-2. The second game ended 5-2, with Vancouver winning both games in Seattle. Goalie Thatcher Demko has been the Canucks best player in both games, going 2-0 and posting a 2.01 goals-against average and a .937 save percentage. Offensively, Conor Garland (2G, 1A) leads the Canucks and Alex Wennberg (2A) leads the Kraken. The season series is scheduled to wrap up on April 26.

The Kraken and Canucks have both been in high scoring contests lately, playing the Over four times in each of their past five games. About 64 per cent of bettors are following that trend and taking the Over tonight.

Seattle covered the spread Saturday night, snapping a two-game slide ATS. They have not covered against Vancouver yet, but would like to improve on their 23-28 record.

The Canucks have been good ATS with a record of 28-23 so far this year. They have been on a bit of a slide recently though, covering only twice in the last six games.

Seattle Kraken

Philipp Grubauer’s brilliant 35-save performance on Saturday was not enough to hold off the red-hot Calgary Flames as the Kraken lost their third in row, 2-1. Calle Jarnkrok stayed hot, notching his tenth goal of the season, which was Seattle’s only tally of the game. In the past five games, Jarnkrok leads the squad with five points (3G, 2A).

With Seattle in action again tomorrow, expect Grubauer to get the start in net tonight. Both of the Kraken’s netminders are working on getting their save percentage back over the .900 mark.

Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks allowed three goals in both the first and second period on their way to getting pounded 7-4 against the Anaheim Ducks Saturday night. Demko had a horrible start, allowing five goals on 14 shots and was pulled in the second period. Elias Pettersson pushed the offence, scoring his 14th goal of the season and tacking on two helpers.

Demko has struggled in back-to-back starts, posting a .750 save percentage and allowing a combined nine goals.

The Canucks will have a few days to rest, before their next game on Thursday versus Calgary.
