Seattle Kraken vs. Vancouver Canucks Prediction, NHL Odds
The Seattle Kraken and Vancouver Canucks hit the ice on Friday in the NHL. Part of a quiet four-game night, these Pacific Division opponents play their second game within a week, and second of four meetings this regular season.
The Canucks were able to secure a 3-2 shootout victory on the road on Dec. 29 and now the Kraken will look to return the favour in Vancouver’s barn.
The NHL odds board has the Canucks as -145 home favourites.
Kraken vs. Canucks NHL Betting Odds
On the puck line, the Kraken are an impressive 26-12 this season, while the Canucks are 18-21. As for game totals, Seattle is 14-23-1 to the over, while Vancouver is 22-15-2. Vancouver has beaten Seattle in four of the last six meetings dating back to February of 2024.
Vancouver’s Elias Pettersson (+160), Brock Boeser (+190), and Jake DeBrusk (+200) are the most likely goal-scorers according to oddsmakers, while Jordan Eberle (+225) and Eeli Tolvanen (+260) are most likely to score for the Kraken.
Seattle Kraken
The Seattle Kraken are playing in their second game in as many nights, and are on the road for this one. While it was a short road trip from Seattle to Vancouver, the rest advantage goes to Vancouver, who hasn’t played since Tuesday and has been home since then.
Seattle is coming off a solid 4-1 victory over the Nashville Predators, and the team is 5-0-1 in its last six games. The Kraken are now just five points from first place in the Pacific Division with three games in hand over the leading Edmonton Oilers.
Vancouver Canucks
After a four-game winning streak on the heels of the Quinn Hughes trade, the Canucks have gone 1-3 since the Christmas break. They’re banged up and reeling. Connor Garland, Marco Rossi, Filip Chytil, Teddy Blueger, and Derek Forbort, will all be out of the lineup.
Rossi was placed on the injured reserve with a lower-body injury on Friday. He left Tuesday’s game and didn’t return. The club’s new first-line center had just one goal and one assist in eight games with the Canucks before hitting the shelf.
