Winnipeg Jets
Defenceman Dustin Byfuglien was a force on the ice in Game 2. Logging heavy minutes and chipping in with an assist he has the best Jet on the ice, earning the game’s first star. Patrik Laine netted 44 goals during the regular season and so far he has goals in two straight games. Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck continues to pick up where he left off during the regular. So far through two starts, he’s allowed just three goals and has a save percentage of .920. Jack Roslovic replaced the injured Mathieu Perreault in Game 2 and chipped in with two assists. No word yet on what Paul Maurice’s lineup looks like in game three, but he’ll have a difficult decision if he chooses to change a winning formula.

Minnesota Wild
The Wild may be down 2-0 in this best-of-seven series, but they now return to home ice where they had one of the best records in the league 27-6-8. They are riding a hot goaltender in Devan Dubynk, who has been peppered with shot (77 saves) but continues to give the Wild a chance in this series.
“Dubnyk’s playing great, he’s giving us a chance, and we’re not really giving ourselves much of a chance,” Zach Parise told reporters. Praise makes a great point. Through two games the Wild only have 37 shots on goal. In fact, in the two games played, the Wild have not registered more than five shots on goal in four out of the six periods.
