Winnipeg is coming into this game on a six-game heater and sit atop the NHL standings with just one loss. The Rangers have won three of their past four and are looking to climb the Metro Division ranks.

The NHL odds have the Rangers as -125 favourite in this one, with the total set at 6.0 goals. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

Jets vs. Rangers NHL Betting Odds

These opponents faced off twice last season, splitting the season series, while the Jets won both games the season before giving them three of the past four matchups. The Rangers faced Connor Hellebuyck in those four games and scored only seven combined goals. The Jets netminder posted a .956 save percentage in that stretch.

Rolling through their past six games has led the Jets to a 5-1 record ATS, boosting their record to 9-6 ATS on the season. They have played the past three games to the UNDER thanks to their lockdown defence, allowing just a single goal in the set. They lead the league in both average goals-for (4.47) and goals-against (2.07) this season.

The Rangers are behind the Jets defensively, giving up just 2.31 per game for second in the league. They have a 6-6-1 record on the OVER/UNDER and have evenly split in their past 10. They have a 7-6 record ATS, being dragged down by covering just once in their past seven games.

Winnipeg Jets

Winnipeg proved they are not fakes, frauds or phoneys taking out last year’s top two teams from the Central Division and setting an NHL record with 14 wins through their first 15 games.

After back-to-back shutouts, the Jets hosted the Dallas Stars and carried their shutout streak until 1:22 remaining in the game, a franchise record of over 190 minutes. The bottom-six did the scoring in this one, getting goals from Alex Iafallo (2), Rasmus Kupari (2) and Vladislav Namestnikov (4) before Nikolaj Ehlers (9) scored on the power play.

Gabriel Vilardi has been having a sneaky solid season, adding an assist against Dallas and extending his point streak to seven games. Vilardi now has 13 points (6G, 7A) through 15 games.

New York Rangers

The Rangers got embarrassed on home ice by their upstate rival on Thursday, taking a 6-1 thumping from the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres chased Igor Shesterkin in that game, leading coach Peter Laviolette to turn to Johnathon Quick on Saturday when they travelled to Detroit.

Quick went on to save all 37 shots thrown his way, picking up his 61st career shutout and leading the Rags to a 4-0 win.

Chris Kreider opened the scoring on the power play with his third goal in the last five games and his eighth of the campaign. Artemi Panarin notched a goal and an assist in the win, giving him points in all four of the team’s games this month (4G, 2A).

Expect Shesterkin back in goal Tuesday as the Rangers look to hop from fourth to second in the division.
