The Winnipeg Jets and Utah Mammoth are set to meet for a Tuesday night matchup in Salt Lake City. Both teams have just two regular-season games remaining in the 2025-26 campaign.

The Jets will be done after those two games, as they have been eliminated from playoff contention. On the other side, the Mammoth are set to play in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time in franchise history, as they currently hold the first wild card spot in the Western Conference.

Jets vs. Mammoth NHL Betting Odds

The Jets enter Tuesday’s contest with an overall record of 35-33-12 on the season. On the other side, the Mammoth are 42-32-6. Owning a better record and being playoff-bound, it’s not surprising to see the Mammoth favoured on home ice. Utah enters at -175 on the NHL odds board, while Winnipeg is +145.

Both of these teams are under the .500 mark when it comes to the puck line so far this season. Winnipeg is 38-42 against the spread, while Utah is 35-45. In this matchup, Winnipeg +1.5 carries odds of -170, while Utah -1.5 is listed at +142. The total is set at 6.5, with plus-money odds of +114 to the over and odds of -135 to the under. Both teams have seen slightly more high-scoring games than low-scoring games this season. The Jets enter with a 41-37-2 mark to the over, while Utah is 40-39-1 in that department.

With odds of +150, Utah’s Dylan Guenther has the shortest odds to score a goal in this contest. Guenther leads the Mammoth and is tied for 11th in the NHL with 40 goals on the season. It’s Guenther’s first 40-goal season of his career. With odds of +165, Kyle Connor has the shortest odds among all Jets players to find the back of the net. Connor leads Winnipeg and is tied for 15th in the NHL with 38 goals on the campaign.

Winnipeg Jets

The Jets have taken a big step back in Year 2 under head coach Scott Arniel. Winnipeg put up 116 points last season, but now have just 82 with two games to go on the season. They will now miss the postseason for the first time in the last four years and for just the second time since 2018.

Winnipeg is playing on the second half of a road back-to-back. They lost 6-1 to the Golden Knights in Vegas on Monday, and enter this matchup with back-to-back losses by a combined score of 13-3.

Consistent goal-scoring has been tough to come by for the Jets. They rank 25th in the NHL, scoring 2.81 goals per game, and rank 24th in the league with a power play percentage of 18.1%. After scoring 3.35 goals per game while leading the NHL with a power play percentage of 28.9% last season, Winnipeg’s offensive woes have contributed to their elimination from the postseason.

Utah Mammoth

The Mammoth have clinched a playoff spot and now have a pair of home games this week to close out the regular season. They’ve dropped each of their last two games by scores of 4-1 to the Hurricanes and Flames, and need to get back on track before the playoffs begin.

The Mammoth have been strong on home ice all season long, owning a 21-15-3 mark at Delta Center. That should give them some confidence when going up against a Winnipeg team that is playing on the second half of a back-to-back with travel.

The Mammoth have been among the most stingy defensive teams in the NHL this season. They are allowing 26.1 shots on goal per game, which is good for the 6th-best mark in the NHL. They seem to have the advantage going up against Winnipeg’s low-scoring offensive attack.

NHL Prediction: Who Will Win Jets vs. Mammoth?

The Mammoth may have a playoff spot clinched, but they still want to get things back in order after suffering back-to-back lopsided losses. They’ve won both matchups against the Jets this season and are now looking for the season sweep. Playing on home ice against a Winnipeg team with little to play for, I expect the Mammoth to win this game 4-2.
