Jets vs. Ducks Prediction: NHL Betting Odds
The Jets will be looking to build off of their three game winning streak when they met the Ducks on Wednesday night. During their current streak the team has allowed only six goals against and showing signs of putting together complete games – all this despite missing two key veterans to their back-end.
Jets vs Ducks Betting Analysis
The Jets will be looking for a three-game series sweep of the Ducks this Wednesday night. In the previous two games, the Jets outscored the Ducks 13-5, but the game that Anaheim will remember most is the last one. Back on February 2, the Jets set several franchise records hammering the Ducks 9-3.
The Jets are 5-1 in their last six games against the Ducks, but 2-7 in the last nine trips to Orange County. The home team in this head-to-head series is 4-0 in the last four games.
Of note, the under is a decent 4-1-1 in the last six meetings in Anaheim.
Winnipeg Jets
The Jets started their three-game West coast road trip in style with a 3-2 victory over the Kings. Winnipeg took the lead with two goals 65 seconds apart in the first period on rebound tallies from Kevin Hayes and Kyle Connor while Tyler Myers netted the game winner later in the contest.
It wasn’t the flashiest of wins for the Jets, but there were some positive defensive moments outshooting the Kings 28-17 in the game and only allowing two shots on goal in the third period.
The Jets now have 90 points this regular season with 10 games left; they are 6-4 in their last 10 games, and don’t look now, but they have won three in a row.
A surprise addition to the line-up Monday was forward Matt Hendricks who played in his first NHL game since the Jets re-acquired him at the trade deadline. The veteran played 10:17 of the game. Jack Roslovic was the surprise scratch for the Jets; expect him back in the line-up for this game against the Ducks.
Captain Blake Wheeler tied a career high with 68 assists this season and is one behind Marc Savard’s franchise record. Interesting note, five Jets players (Wheeler, Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor, Patrik Laine and Kevin Hayes) have more points than Ducks leading scorer Ryan Getzlaf (46 points).
Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks have been idle since Sunday, where they scored a 3-2 win over the Panthers. Jakob Silfverberg scored the game-winning goal in that game. It was his 22nd of the season. The 28 year old has been the team’s hottest scorer as of late, netting his fourth goal in five games, and sixth goal in the last nine.
The Ducks are also 6-4 in their last 10 games and currently sit in seventh place in the Pacific division. The team is 9-9 since General Manager Bob Murray fired Head Coach Randy Carlyle and took over behind the bench. He will remain there until season’s end where it is expected that the team will announce AHL Head Coach Dallas Eakins will take over the position full-time going into next season.
