Vegas and Boston have only met six times since the Golden Knights entered the league back in 2017. The matchup has not been kind to Vegas, as they have only managed a single win over Boston. All but one of their meetings have played the Under, but despite that, 88 percent of the public is siding with the Over.
The Golden Knights have only covered in three of their past ten games, dragging their record against the spread down to 10-17. The high-scoring Golden Knights have played the Over in all of their past three games and in the past ten, the Over is 7-3.
The Bruins snapped a six-game Under streak on Saturday night in their 4-2 win over Calgary, setting their record to 11-13 on the Over/Under. The Bruins were the underdogs in their past two wins, allowing them to cover the spread in both; they are 10-14 against the spread thus far.
Vegas Golden Knights
The Golden Knights’ top line propelled their squad back into the win column on Saturday night with a 6-4 win over the red hot Minnesota Wild. Max Pacioretty (1G, 2A), Chandler Stephenson(4A) and Mark Stone (1G-2A) combined for 10 points on the night. Ever since returning to the lineup and getting the top line back together Pacioretty and Stone have been red hot. Both players have at least a point in all eight since being reunited.
Vegas hits the road for a four-game Eastern Conference road trip to try and improve their spotty 6-5 record on the road.
Boston Bruins
The Bruins return to Boston after going 2-0-1 on their Western Canadian road trip, extending their point streak to five games. Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron each had a pair of points and combined with Linus Ullmark’s exceptional goaltending, pulled out a 4-2 win over the Calgary Flames.
Over the past six games, the Bruins goaltending has been lights out, allowing only 10 goals for a 1.67 goals per game average.
Head Coach Bruce Cassidy is due to return today after missing the past six games with COVID-19. The team went 3-1-2 while he battled the illness.
