The Flyers closed out a four-game homestand with Wednesday’s 3-2 victory over Montreal and have won two of their past three contests, but have earned just one win in five road contests going into Friday’s matchup at Xcel Energy Center. The Wild return home after getting swept in a home-and-home series with Dallas in which they were outscored by a wide 11-2 overall margin, and have also scored just four total goals during a four-game home losing streak.
Despite their recent woes, the Wild are pegged as razor-thin -115 favourites on the Friday NHL odds, while the Flyers are sport -105 odds. The total is listed at 6, with the UNDER slightly favoured at -115.
Flyers vs. Wild NHL Betting Odds
The Flyers have managed to stay in the Eastern Conference playoff picture despite losing seven of their past 10 games. However, this club needs to reverse their current slide on the road if they are to stay in the hunt. Philly has struggled at both ends of the ice during their current road swoon, allowing 3.80 goals per game including 10 total goals after 40 minutes while losing four of five. The Flyers have also remained one of the lowest scoring teams in the league after potting just 2.14 goals per game over their past seven outings, and have potted just two total goals at even strength over the past three games despite recording over 39 shots per game.
Hobbled by injuries to key personnel including leading scorer Kirill Kaprizov, Wild shooters have managed to score just 12 total goals during the team’s current 2-5-0 slump including only four total goals during their four-game home losing streak. That has generated a modest 4-2 run for the UNDER in totals betting, but bodes poorly for the club, which suffered a decisive 6-2 defeat when they visited Philadelphia in October, and has surrendered 11 total goals in consecutive losses to the Flyers.

The Flyers hit the road in good health, but are desperate to break out of their recent scoring slump. Indeed, despite regularly outshooting opponents, the Flyers were forced to overcome early deficits in each of their two recent victories. Morgan Frost has remained one of the few bright lights on the Philly attack. Frost has scored in two of the past three games and compiled four total points in five outings. Leading scorer Travis Konecny has also steadily produced, scoring five times and generating 12 points over the past nine games, and offers value as a +120 water on the NHL player props to bulge the twine on Friday night.
Minnesota Wild
With Kaprizov on the shelf and the blueline depleted by the absence of injured rearguards Jonas Brodin and Jared Spurgeon, the Wild need their supporting cast to step up if they are to return to the playoff hunt in the Western Conference. Matt Boldy has been the exception, scoring three times and getting in on five of the six goals this team has scored over the past three games. Mats Zuccarello has contributed a pair of power play helpers over the three games since his return from injury, but the veteran playmaker has scored just once in his past 14 outings and has mustered more than one shot on goal just twice in seven games. With the Wild attack foundering and No. 1 goaltender Filip Gustavsson out indefinitely, the pressure is on Marc-Andre Fleury. The veteran netminder has compiled a dismal .872 save percentage while surrendering 10 goals over his past three starts, and has led the Wild to defeat in four straight home starts.
