Calgary Flames vs. Nashville Predators Prediction, NHL Odds
The Flames tallied a 5-2 victory in Chicago on Monday, and have now claimed victory in seven of eight overall contests. The Predators look to rebound from Sunday’s 8-3 loss to St. Louis, which also marked their fourth defeat in six outings.
The Flames have held steady as -136 favourites, backed by 65% of the betting action. Calgary has also emerged as an attractive +182 bet on the puckline to cover as 1.5-goal chalk for the sixth time in seven games. Losers in three of five home contests, the Predators lag as +113 underdogs. The total is unchanged since opening at 6.0, with the OVER pegged a -120 bet.
Flames vs. Predators NHL Betting Odds
Tuesday night’s matchup at Bridgestone Arena is the first of two meetings between these clubs over the next 10 days, and the Flames’ first visit to Music City since February 2020. The Predators eked out a narrow 3-2 win in Calgary on November 2 for their third straight win over the Flames. The Predators have held Calgary to just seven total goals during their current head-to-head win streak, powering a 2-1-0 run for the UNDER. However, it is the OVER that has paid out in three of their past four meetings in Nashville.
Calgary has now averaged 4.38 goals per game during a 7-1-0 overall run. The club has been particularly reliable as road chalk, going 16-3-0 in their past 19 while claiming victory by an average margin of 2.69 goals over those 16 wins. While the Flames have filled the net, scoring has come at a premium for the Predators. Nashville has potted just 11 total goals during its current 2-3-1 run. The Predators’ current swoon comes on the heels of a dominating 7-1-0 run on home ice, during which they averaged 4.75 goals per game. The Predators have also won seven of 10 as home underdogs.
Calgary Flames
With the Flames get set to play their second road game in as many nights, and third game in four days, look for Dan Vladar to get the start between the pipes for the first time since April 7. The 24-year-old has been a reliable option on the road, compiling a 9-4-0 record, and allowing just nine total goals while going 3-1-0 over his past four road starts. Calgary has also been steady in the back half of games played on consecutive nights, winning six of eight including three of four on the road.
Nashville Predators
Juuse Saros has played a huge role in Nashville’s success this season. Saros leads all NHL goaltenders with 37 wins, and also sits among the league leaders in goals against average and save percentage. However, he was pulled after allowing four goals in Sunday’s loss to the Blues, and has allowed 11 total goals in his past three starts. Roman Josi is also mired in his first scoring slump of the season, picking up just one point in his past six outings. Josi has also scored just one goal and four total points in his past 10 appearances versus Calgary.
