Anton Forsberg was supposed to get the start then got injured in the warm up, then Matt Murray came in to start the game and he got hurt midway through the second. Marcus Hogberg took over and forward Artem Anisimov was forced in as the emergency backup. Forsberg and Murray are still listed as day-to-day with lower-body injuries.
The future is bright in Ottawa, as their offence is driven by a group of 20-year-olds. Brady Tkachuk (21), Josh Norris (21) and Drake Batherson (22) are all tied for the team lead with 30 points.
