Florida Panthers

It has not been a picturesque start to the season for the back-to-back reigning Stanley Cup champions. They have lost key players to injury for an extended time and are not currently in a playoff spot. Despite the headwinds, Florida is above .500 and keeping pace in the Eastern Conference.

What bodes well for the Panthers in this one is home-ice advantage. They have struggled more on the road this season to the tune of a 3-6 road record. Fortunately for the Panthers, they are still very good at home. They’ve won seven of their last 10 home games dating back to last season and are 6-3 in their previous nine meetings in front of their home fans against Vancouver.

NHL Prediction: Who Will Win Canucks vs. Panthers?

Often, when a team faces adversity, the mantra becomes something along the lines of “just find a way to win”. It has not been pretty for the Panthers, but they have found a way to win when they need it. This team is as battle-tested as any in hockey. The same cannot quite be said for the Canucks. 

While this may just be a November Monday game that seems inconsequential, the Panthers know better than to treat it as such. Florida should capitalize on a tired Vancouver team playing their second game in as many days and win at home by a score of 4-2.
