The Vancouver Canucks make the short trip to Seattle for a one-game road trip Wednesday night and are sizable underdogs on the NHL odds against the surprisingly good Kraken.
Canucks vs. Kraken NHL Betting Odds
The NHL is obviously hoping these neighbours strike up a great rivalry much like the MLS franchises in Seattle and Vancouver have done. Wednesday will be the second of three regular-season meetings between the Canucks and Kraken, with it wrapping up April 4 in Vancouver.
The Canucks won the first two matchups, both high scoring and both by one goal. Elias Pettersson has three goals and four assists in the season series, but Bo Horvat is scoreless. Jaden Schwartz (1G, 2A) leads Seattle with three points. Martin Jones started both in net and has a 4.38 goals-against average and .836 save per centage – otherwise, he’s having a fabulous season.

Vancouver Canucks
The Canucks fired Coach Bruce Boudreau after Saturday’s home loss to Edmonton and replaced him with Rick Tocchet. So far, so good as Vancouver beat visiting Chicago 5-2 on Tuesday, but that doesn’t mean much as the Blackhawks are one of the league’s worst teams and in full tank mode. The Canucks did show something by twice rallying from one-goal deficits and blew it open with three goals in the third. Andrei Kuzmenko was the No. 1 star with two goals. Elias Pettersson and Luke Schenn each had two assists for the Canucks, who won for just the third time in 13 games. Collin Delia made 12 saves. Will Tocchet use Delia again tonight or the struggling Spencer Martin? He has lost seven straight and probably loses his roster spot when Thatcher Demko is healthy.
Seattle Kraken
Seattle was terrible as an expansion team but is leaps and bounds better in Year 2 with 59 points and battling for the Pacific Division title. Smart free agent signings and draft selections have the franchise on the fast track.
