The NHL’s youngest phenom will be looking to snap a three-game skid and climb out of last place in the NHL versus a red-hot Canucks team that has picked up a point in five straight games.

The puck will drop at 3:00 PM EST at the United Center in downtown Chicago. Keep updated on our Moneyline, Puckline and Over/Under for Sunday’s matchup on our NHL odds.

Canucks vs. Blackhawks NHL Betting Odds

Vancouver has had the Canucks’ number of the past few years, posting an 8-2 record versus Chicago in their last 10 meetings, including a sweep last year and taking each of the past four head-to-heads. The ‘Nucks have been able to keep the Blackhawks’ offence to two or less in the past seven games playing the OVER/UNDER 1-5-1 in that span dating way back to January 2020.

After being dominant in the first month of the season, the Canucks got away from what made them so successful, keeping their opposition off the scoreboard as much as possible. They are starting to come back into form as that team again, keeping their opponents to a goal or less in four of their past five games. They have played the UNDER in the past three games and four times in their past five, moving them to 17-12-1 O/U.

Chicago’s offence has been abysmal over their past 10 games, being held to just a single goal six times and averaging just 1.8 per game in the last 10. They had played the UNDER in eight straight contests, before allowing seven in their most recent outing. They have a 10-18-1 record on the OVER/UNDER this season and rank 31st in both goals for and against.

Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks will be playing the second half of a back-to-back Sunday afternoon, after taking a 2-1 shootout loss Saturday in Minnesota, snapping a four-game win streak. The Wild opened the scoring with less than two minutes in the first period, then Teddy Bleuger (3) tied things early in the second. Vancouver would go on to fire 36 shots on goal, but could not beat the Wild’s goalie and the game was decided by a single goal in the shootout.

Casey DeSmith was in the net for the loss, allowing one goal on 30 shots. He has been a stellar backup in his first season with the team, posting a 5-2-2 record with an impressive .923 save percentage.

Vancouver will head to Nashville on Tuesday after Sunday’s game. Expect to see Thatcher Demko in goal for the rest of the road trip as they look to improve their 8-6-1 record on the road.

Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks were embarrassed in front of their home crowd Friday night in a 7-1 loss to the Seattle Kraken, extending their losing streak to three games. The Kraken got on the board in the first three minutes and never looked back. Taylor Raddysh’s (5) second-period tally was all the offence Chicago could muster up on 22 shots.

Arvid Soderblom was left in goal for all seven goals but was replaced by Petr Mrazek in the third. Mrazek stopped all five shots he faced and Soderblom dropped to 2-10-1 on the year.

On the bright side for Hawks fans, Connor Bedard led all forwards with over 20 minutes of ice time and put three shots on the net. After points in back-to-back games, he was held off the score sheet though.
