There is no team hotter than the Canadiens, who with their win on Wednesday have now strung together four wins in a row. The Senators got back in the win column Wednesday as well with their victory over the Minnesota Wild.

Samuel Montembeault notched his first career shutout in a 32 save 4-0 win over the Sabres at home Wednesday night. Nick Suzuki notched a pair of goals as the Canadiens rolled their fourth win in a row under their new coach.
Cole Caufield has continued his emergence under the new coach, since the hire Caufield has 10 points (6G, 4A) in seven games. The newest Canadien Andrew Hammond impressed in his debut and will return to the crease tonight to face his old team.
The Canadiens provided some news on the injury front Friday; Josh Anderson, who left Wednesday’s game after blocking a shot will be back tonight along with Mathieu Perrault. Paul Byron also went down on Wednesday and is considered out indefinitely.
Ottawa Senators
The Senators snapped their two-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over the Wild, Wednesday night at home. Thomas Chabot’s triumphant return to the lineup included three points (2G, 1A), the game-winning goal and the game’s first star, he did not miss a beat after missing four games with injury.
Tim Stutzle scored on Wednesday to extend his goal streak to a career-high three games, the 20-year-old German is only two points away from matching his season total from last year.
Ottawa will have a few days off before getting back to action Tuesday when they hit the road to play the Tampa Bay Lightning.
