The winless Ottawa Senators get the undefeated Boston Bruins in the former’s home opener Monday, the start of a five-game home stand in Ottawa. Boston’s travelling up to Canada after beating the Florida Panthers 5-3 at home Tuesday. The Senators last played Saturday, falling 3-2 at Toronto.

Ottawa’s a slight -120 home favourite to win, with the over-under at 6.0 on the NHL odds. Puck drop at Canadian Tire Centre goes at 7 p.m. EDT.

Bruins vs. Senators NHL Betting Odds

Tuesday’s the first of four regular season meetings between Boston and Ottawa. The Bruins took three of four contests against the Sens a season ago, with no games featuring more than five total goals. The under’s hit in eight of the last 10 Boston–Ottawa games with the Senators averaging under two goals per contest.

Boston’s been able to come out victorious in eight of their last 10 trips to Ottawa as well, but are 1-5 straight up in their last six road games overall. Boston won both of their games in Ottawa last season and allowed two total goals with Jeremy Swayman in net both times. Linus Ullmark started in net for the Bruins last night which means it’s likely Swayman’s crease versus Ottawa.

Boston Bruins

A three-point night from Jake DeBrusk earned him first star honours in Boston’s win over Florida on Monday. DeBrusk both opened and ended the scoring while also assisting on Patrice Bergeron’s second-period tally. David Pastrnak and Trent Frederic also potted goals for the Bruins. The Panthers outshot Boston 41-34 but the Bruins stood tall, also killing five penalties.

Pastrnak currently leads the club with five points through three games, while fellow Czech Republic native David Krejci has gotten off to a hot start with four points. Krejci, Pastrnak, and Pavel Zacha make up an all-Czech Bruins second line.

Ottawa Senators

Claude Giroux potted his first goal as a Senator in Saturday’s loss at Toronto. Giroux factored in on both goals, assisting on Shane Pinto’s first of the season earlier in the game. Ottawa’s scored just three goals in their two appearances so far but are still getting familiar with their new-look top-six that ranks near the league’s best. Brady Tkachuk, Ottawa’s other skater with a goal this season, is part of Ottawa’s top line that also includes Tim Stützle, and Drake Batherson.

With off-season acquisition Cam Talbot injured for a few more weeks, Anton Forsberg has claimed the No. 1 goalie job and started both of Ottawa’s first two outings. Forsberg has stopped 61 of 66 shots faced and is coming off a 2021–22 campaign that saw him post a career-best .917 save percentage in a career-high 44 starts.
