The Boston Bruins are out west to take on Anaheim Ducks on Friday night at Honda Center.

The game will be Boston’s second of a four-game road trip on the west coast. The trip began with a 6-3 win over the Sharks on Tuesday night.

On the other side, the Ducks are looking to bounce back after falling 4-2 to the Flames in their last outing on Tuesday. This is the first matchup of the season between these two teams.

Bruins vs. Ducks NHL Betting Odds

Oddsmakers are expecting a closely-contested battle. Boston enters with moneyline odds of -115, while Anaheim is -105 to win.

On the puckline, Bruins -1.5 is valued at +210, while Ducks +1.5 is -258. The game total is set at 6.5, with odds of +105 on the Over and -125 on the Under.

At +140, Boston’s David Pastrnak has the shortest odds of any player to score a goal in this game. Pastrnak scored 29 goals last season, which was his lowest total since the 2020-21 campaign. He has potted two goals through seven games so far in 2026-27.

With odds of +145, Anaheim’s Cutter Gauthier has the shortest odds of any Duck to score a goal in the contest. Gauthier led the Ducks with 41 goals last season, and has two goals through five games to start the new season.

Boston Bruins

The Bruins enter this matchup riding a three-game winning streak. The offensive attack is firing on all cylinders, as Boston has scored 17 total goals in those three wins. Just three goals in that span have come on the power play, showing that the Bruins are generating and converting on their 5-on-5 chances at a steady rate.

On the season, David Pastrnak leads the Bruins with eight points on two goals and six assists. Pastrnak has reached the 100-point mark in each of the last four seasons, and his strong start could lead to another triple-digit point campaign.

Twenty-two-year-old Fraser Minten paces the Bruins with four goals on the young season. Minten potted 17 goals last year in his first full season with Boston, and could be poised to exceed that number by a wide margin this season.

In net, goaltender Jeremy Swayman is enjoying a stellar start to the season. Swayman is 5-1-0 with a 1.99 goals-against average and .930 save percentage through six games.

Anaheim Ducks

Last season in Joel Quenneville’s first season behind the bench in Anaheim, he led the Ducks to the postseason for the first time since 2017-18. Anaheim then took down Connor McDavid and the Oilers in the first round of the playoffs. Looking to continue that momentum, the Ducks are off to a solid 4-2-0 start in the new season.

The Ducks have plenty of young talent to go around in their forward group. Leo Carlsson leads the team with nine points, while Beckett Sennecke leads the Ducks with four goals. Defenceman Jackson LaCombe is also playing well with five points through six games.

The Ducks have one of the NHL’s best power plays to start the season. Anaheim’s power play percentage of 33.3 per cent ranks second in the NHL through the first 2+ weeks of the season.

Between the pipes, goaltender Lukas Dostal is 3-2-0 with a 2.98 goals-against average and .892 save percentage.

NHL Prediction: Who Will Win Bruins vs. Ducks?

The Bruins are on fire right now, and Anaheim is still adjusting to life without several key defensive pieces from last season.

Most notably, Anaheim lost Jacob Trouba, John Carlson, Radko Gudas and Owen Zellweger in the offseason.

So far the new faces in the defensive unit have been formidable, but going up against a red-hot Bruins offensive attack presents plenty of challenges.

Look for the Bruins to keep rolling and win their fourth consecutive game.
