The Canucks maintained their recent winning ways with a 6-5 victory in Seattle on Thursday, which also marked their fourth straight win on the road. The Canucks return home after closing out a two-game road trip with Thursday’s 3-2 win in St. Louis, but have failed to tally back-to-back victories in 24 games since December 27.

The Bruins have rocketed to lofty -280 road favourites since opening as -225 chalk while the Canucks have tumbled to +231 underdogs in their bid to claim their fourth win in six home dates. The total is unchanged since opening at 6.5. However, with the support of 76% of sports bettors, the UNDER has shortened to a -116 bet.

Bruins vs. Canucks NHL Betting Odds

Saturday night’s matchup at Rogers Arena marks the second and final regular season meeting between these clubs. The Bruins rolled to a decisive 5-2 victory when they hosted the Canucks back on November 13, but have failed to post consecutive victories in eight head-to-head dates since 2017. The Bruins are also winless in their past four visits to Vancouver, scoring just six total goals over that stretch. Despite Boston’s struggles to score on the road, these teams have produced uneven results in totals betting, with the UNDER holding a slight 4-3 edge over their past seven clashes.

Boston Bruins

The Bruins are expected to have their two newest team members in the lineup when they hit the ice on Saturday night. The club pulled the trigger on a deal with the Washington Capitals this week to acquire puck-moving defenceman Dmitri Orlov and veteran forward Garnet Hathaway. The addition of Orlov adds offensive depth to a Boston blue line that has produced just 26 total goals this season, while Hathaway adds grit to an already physical Bruins lineup. Orlov and Hathaway join a Bruins club that is currently firing on all cylinders. Currently sporting a comfortable 13-point lead over Toronto in the Atlantic Division standings, the Bruins have averaged five goals per game over their past four outings. Patrice Bergeron led the charge in Thursday’s comeback victory over the Kraken, scoring once and adding an assist, and has now scored in three of his past four outings.

Vancouver Canucks

While the Bruins welcome their new additions on Saturday, the Canucks will once again be showcasing players that could be shipped out of Vancouver ahead of the upcoming NHL trade deadline. Boeser has produced a pair of helpers over the past three games, and saw over 21 minutes of ice time for just the second time this season in Thursday’s overtime win over the Blues. Schenn has been held out of the lineup for trade-related reasons since picking up three assists in last weekend’s 6-2 win over Philadelphia, and his absence on Saturday would rob of the Canucks of a much-needed physical presence against the hard-hitting Bruins. However, the Canucks return home on a high after rallying to overcome a 2-0 deficit in Thursday’s 3-2 victory in St. Louis. Elias Pettersson sparked the comeback with a goal and two assists, and has now recorded three markers and eight assists during a four-game points streak.
