However, they have managed to tally consecutive wins just once in 26 overall games since late November.

Bruins vs. Canadiens NHL Betting Odds

Tuesday night’s matchup at Bell Centre marks the first of three scheduled meetings between these Original Six rivals this season. The Bruins have dominated in head-to-head action, topping the Habs in seven straight clashes, and have also earned the win in eight of their past nine visits to Montreal.  With the Canadiens struggling to generate offence, the UNDER hold a slight 3-2-1 edge over their past six dates with Boston. However, the has paid out in three of the past four head-to-head meetings in Montreal.

Boston Bruins

The Bruins once again made the most of their opportunities on Sunday, tallying four goals on just 22 shots in a 4-0 victory over the Sharks. Boston has now posted shutouts in two of their past four outings, and outscored opponents by a wide 21-5 margin during their current 5-0-0 run. The Bruins’ strong defensive play extends to the road, where they have allowed just eight total goals during a 6-0-0 run away from TD Garden, and avoided losing in regulation since dropping a 4-3 decision in Arizona back on December 9. The Bruins have enjoyed steady offensive production from up and down the lineup. The 11 total goals scored over their past three goals have been scored by 10 different players, with defenceman Charlie McAvoy leading the way with two markers and one assist over that stretch. David Pastrnak powered the attack with a goal and helper in Sunday’s victory, and has now racked up 11 goals and 15 points over his past nine outings.

Montreal Canadiens

Undaunted by breaking news earlier in the day announcing that Cole Caufield will miss the remainder of the season due to a shoulder injury, the Canadiens turned in a character performance in Saturday’s 3- overtime win over the Maple Leafs. The Habs fell behind early, spotting the Leafs a 2-0 first-period lead. However, they bounced back to tie the contest during an impressive 18-shot performance in the middle stanza, and earned the chance to claim the victory in overtime thanks to a sterling performance by goaltender Samuel Montembeault, who turned aside all 14 shots he faced in the third period. With Caufield joining Brendan Gallagher and Juraj Slafkovsky in the clinic, the supporting cast stepped up in Saturday’s win, with Rafael Harvey-Pinard and Rem Pitlick contributing the tying and game-winning goals. Nick Suzuki also ended a two-game pointless streak with an assist. However, the Canadiens captain has scored just once over the past 16 games, and has recorded just two goals and no assists in eight career appearances against Boston.
