Titans vs. Cardinals Point Spread: NFL Week 5 Odds, Prediction
The winless Titans keep trending in the wrong direction after falling 26-0 at Houston a week ago, a loss in which Tennessee accumulated 175 total yards of offence. The Titans currently rank last in the NFL with 12.8 points per game.
Arizona meanwhile is well-rested, last suiting up in Week 4’s Thursday nighter but they likely needed the extra day or two to recover from a 23-20 walk-off loss to Seattle, the second straight defeat for the Cardinals. Arizona’s dropped both games by a combined four points, which has to sting knowing how close a perfect season thus far could’ve been.
Instead, both teams enter Week 5 in last in their respective divisions. And despite the difference in records, Titans 0-4 and Cardinals 2-2, Sunday is shaping up as a must-win for both clubs before they fall too behind within their divisions.
Kickoff at State Farm Stadium goes at 4:05 p.m. EDT with Arizona a 7.5-point favourite at home and the total set at 42 on the NFL odds.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Siding with the Titans does not bring good fortunes as of late, as Tennessee enters Sunday on a 10-game losing streak and 1-9 record against the spread in the span. Tennessee’s closest result in 2025 was an eight-point loss back in Week 1 and it’s been extremely difficult for them on the road, getting outscored 46-12 through two outings.
Arizona is a perfect 7-0 ATS in their last seven times facing off with an AFC opponent, and the under has hit in five straight outings for Arizona against an AFC South opponent. The Cardinals are allowing 18.5 points per game against this season, which ranks sixth-best in the NFL so far. This makes out for a tough matchup for Tennessee’s offence, which has been the case in recent history too with four of the last five Titans-Cardinals clashes.
Tennessee Titans
Last week’s 26-0 shutout is about as rock bottom as it should get for this Tennessee regime. Rookie quarterback Cam Ward has only eclipsed 200 passing yards in one of his four starts so far, but in his defence there’s not much supporting cast around the first overall pick. Veteran receivers Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett have combined for just 16 catches and 187 receiving yards thus far, making Ward rely on fellow rookie Elic Ayomanor as his top target. Ayomanor, born in Medicine Hat, leads the Titans with 151 receiving yards on the season.
In injury news, Ridley did not practice on Wednesday with knee and elbow injuries. Offensive linemen JC Latham, Kevin Zietler, and Black Hance all appeared on the injury report too. But in positive news, running back Tyjae Spears was limited on Wednesday and could potentially be an addition to a Titans offence that is in desperate need of some help.
Arizona Cardinals
The tumultuous season of Marvin Harrison Jr. only got amplified the last time the Cardinals took the field. Arizona’s prized offensive weapon essentially handed Seattle two interceptions last week, only to later haul in a highlight-reel TD and lead the Cardinals with 66 receiving yards. It’s still valid to expect more from the sophomore receiver, and one can only assume had Harrison Jr. not made costly mistakes in both of Arizona’s losses… this team could be 4-0.
In the backfield, Arizona’s again adopting the “next man up” philosophy this week. Backup running back Trey Benson now joins starter James Connor on the IR which means Emari Demercado, Michael Carter, and Bam Knight will make up Arizona’s backfield this weekend. Rookie defensive back Will Johnson returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant, which is great news after he had to miss Arizona’s last two games with a groin issue. Johnson has been showing all the makings of a star defensive player, if he can stay healthy.
