Titans vs. Browns Point Spread: NFL Week 14 Odds, Prediction

Cleveland is bad. Tennessee is worse. Garrett is the best defensive player in the league. Seems like an easy formula for an unfulfilling Browns victory.

Tennessee, which would be the third franchise to draft first in back-to-back years in the past decade, lost its seventh straight with a 25-3 setback to the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. The Browns dropped a 26-8 decision to the San Francisco 49ers after allowing 19 unanswered points.

Two ineffective offences, two fairly incompetent coaching staffs, one amazing defence lost in the crowd, and one player on the verge of making history. That about sums it up. Will Cleveland’s Myles Garrett, who has recorded a sack in six straight games and totalled 19 overall, break the NFL single-season record against the team that has surrendered the most (48) sacks this season?

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Tennessee is 2-3 against the spread as a road underdog, while Cleveland is 4-1 ATS at home. Although this contest features the league’s two worst offences statistically, both teams have played to the Over four times in their past six games.

This could be a big week for the Browns Quinshon Judkins, who rushed for 91 yards against the 49ers, the first time he went for more than 75 yards in six weeks. Cleveland is 3-1 when Judkins scores. He has seven touchdowns this season and is an attractive option to both score the game’s first TD (+333) and find the end zone at any point in the contest (-125).

Tennessee Titans

The Titans are averaging a league-worst 14.2 points per game. If not for some freak occurrences in a 22-21 comeback win over the Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee would be looking seriously at the third winless season in the NFL this century.

Interim head coach Mike McCoy has not improved things, going 0-6 since replacing Brian Callahan. Tennessee has allowed a league-worst 48 sacks, including 10 games of three or more. Rookie QB Cam Ward deserves a medal for still standing upright this late in the season.

Cleveland Browns

This has to be one of those situations where the defence just jaws at the offence all week in practice, right? The Browns are second in the league with just 271.3 yards allowed per game, their pass defence is third, and they are only allowing 22.5 points per game.

Yet, they’re 3-9 as coach Kevin Stefanski is just 6-23 since leading the team to the playoffs two years ago. Even though he’s led the franchise to two of its three playoff appearances since rejoining the NFL in 1999, it’s hard to see Stefanski staying on after another disastrous campaign.

QB Shedeur Sanders went 16 for 25 for 149 yards and a touchdown against San Francisco. He and Judkins could be rookies to build off of (or not). The only constant on this team is Garrett, who should be champing at the bit to get at Ward on Sunday.

NFL Prediction: Who Will Win Titans vs. Browns?

Cleveland is bad. Tennessee is worse. Garrett is the best defensive player in the league. Seems like an easy formula for an unfulfilling Browns victory.

Look for Cleveland to win this clunker, 17-7.
