Titans vs. Broncos Point Spread: NFL Predictions, Week 6 Odds

A pair of last place teams do battle in a late start Sunday afternoon. The Broncos are in some trouble in the early part of their season with only a single victory, while the Titans can even out their record with a win in the Mile High State.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

These two teams have split the last four games, with the Titans winning the last game (13-10) back in December of 2016.

However, against the spread, the Titans are 1-5 versus the Broncos in the last six games. The over has been in play in five of the last seven games head-to-head.

The Broncos have played well in the month of October. Dating back to last season the team is a perfect 4-0 ATS in the month.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans are 2-3 this season and looking for answers on the offensive side of the ball. Through five games the team is ranked 27th overall in total offence, and 28th overall in passing. They’ll face a Broncos team that is fourth best against the pass on Sunday afternoon.

Marcus Mariota has had an up and down season but hasn’t had much help on the offensive line and Sunday against the Bills was just another example. Mariota was sacked five times in the loss to Buffalo, and has been sacked 22 times this season.

Defence has been the positive story with the team this season. The Titans have allowed just 76 points in five games this season, an average of 15 points per game.

Of note, the team will be looking for a new kicker after they cut Cairo Santos on Monday. Santos missed four field goals in a seven point loss to the Bills last week. Former Bears kicker Cody Parkey will get an opportunity with the Titans.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos finally got their first win of the season after starting off the year going 0-4. But they do have some hope. However, the numbers are against them. According to Pro Football reference, since 1978 there have been 192 teams in the NFL that began the season at 1-4. Just 11 (5.7 percent) of them made the playoffs. One of those teams was the 2011 Broncos, and they also won a playoff game that year.

Phillip Lindsay had his best game of the season against the Chargers. He carried the ball 15 times for 114 yards for an average of 7.6 yards per carry. He also scored a touchdown. His 327 yards this season is ranked 13th in the league. In that game against the Chargers he split carries with Royce Freeman, who carried the ball 13 carries for 61 yards.

Courtland Sutton has been the number one receiving target for the Broncos this season. He has 26 receptions for 401 yards (ninth in the NFL) for an average of 15.4 yards per catch.
