Titans vs. Bills Point Spread: NFL Week 7 Odds, Prediction

The Bills snapped a two-game slide with Monday night’s narrow 23-20 road victory over the rival New York Jets, but have run up the score at home, where they have averaged 40.5 points per game during a 2-0 start. An early bye did little to give the Titans a lift in last week’s 20-17 loss to Indianapolis. In addition, the Titans have lost 11 of their past 13 road games, with the two wins over that stretch both coming in Miami including a 31-12 victory over the beleaguered Dolphins three weeks ago.

The Bills have vaulted to 9.5-point home favourites on the NFL Week 7 odds. The Titans trail as +360 underdogs on the NFL moneyline and the total is listed at 41.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Sunday’s matchup at Highmark Stadium marks the first meeting between these teams in over two years. The Bills rolled to a 41-7 victory in that September 2022 clash, to improve to 4-2 in their past six dates with the Titans including back-to-back victories on home turf.

Recent dates between these teams have produced a lot of points, with the total reaching at least 48 in each of their past three matchups and snapping a 3-0 run for the UNDER in totals betting.

The Bills’ unbeaten start at home this season extends an impressive trend that has seen them go 19-3 straight up in their past 22 regular season dates at Highmark Stadium. However, the Bills have failed to cover in each of their past six regular season outings while pegged as home favourites by at least nine points.

Conversely, the road has been unkind to the Titans, who have mustered 17 or fewer points 11 times during their 2-11 run on the road, and just 9.5 points per game during their 0-2 slide at Highmark Stadium.

Tennessee Titans

Coming off a bye in Week 5, the Titans let their chances slip away in last week’s 20-17 loss to Indianapolis. Tennessee generated just 241 total yards and failed to move the ball past the 50-yard line while compiling just 39 total yards on their final five possessions. That was all the opportunity the Colts needed to stage a second-half comeback and hand Tennessee its third straight home loss of the season.

Overall, the Titans rank sixth-last in the NFL in total points scored, and have not been helped by the league’s 31st-ranked passing game. Hampered by a shoulder injury that has limited him at practice this week, quarterback Will Levis recorded just 95 passing yards while completing just 59.3 per cent of attempts last week, and has tossed seven picks against just five touchdowns this season. Levis’ struggles are not helped by a rash of injuries that have kept receiver Treylon Burks and rusher Tyjae Spears out of practice.

Buffalo Bills

Losers in preceding road dates with Baltimore and Houston, the Bills found a tonic in last weekend’s showdown with Aaron Rodgers and the New Yorks on Monday Night Football. It wasn’t pretty. In fact, were it not for two missed field goal attempts by the Jets, the Bills’ storyline heading into Week 7 would be far different. Indeed, the Bills have managed to maintain their lead atop the AFC East despite enduring offensive woes of their own. Buffalo averaged an impressive 37.3 points per game during a 3-0 start but have managed to score just 17.7 points per game during their current 1-2 run.

A pile of injuries has not helped matters. Josh Allen continues to be bothered by a hand injury, but overcame a rough performance in the team’s 23-20 to the Texans two weeks ago by completing 76 per cent of pass attempts for 215 yards and two touchdowns in Monday’s win. Fresh off a 99-yard performance that featured his fifth touchdown in four games, rusher James Cook has also landed on the injury report with a toe injury. Top receiver Khalil Shakir is nursing an ankle injury but was a full participant at practice on Wednesday.
