Seahawks vs. Rams Point Spread: NFL Week 15 Odds, Prediction
The Seattle Seahawks are just 5-8 on the season but given the state of the NFC Wild Card race, they’re still in the playoff picture. Seattle got an easy win over the Houston Texans last week and is now riding a two-game winning streak into Los Angeles. The Rams just got a huge victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football but are dealing with a serious bout of COVID-19. Can they push through it and get the win?
The Rams opened as 7-point favourites to win on the NFL odds, with a total of 48.0. Keep in mind, those opening numbers could shift significantly depending on L.A.’s COVID situation.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Seahawks are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games played during the month of December and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games when being listed as the road underdog in the matchup. Seattle hasn’t had a great time against teams who are dominant at home, though. They are 0-4 ATS in their past four games out on the road when playing a team with a winning home record.
On the other hand, the Rams are 1-4 ATS in their last five games when picking up a straight up win in their previous outing. They are also 2-7 ATS when going up against a team with a losing record on the season. Surprisingly, Los Angeles has seen the under cash out in their last five games played at home when going up against a team with a losing road record.

Seattle Seahawks
It’s obvious that this team is far better with Russell Wilson as the starting quarterback than Geno Smith. They were struggling to find any offensive groove in Wilson’s absence and even when he returned, it took a little bit. Wilson was clearly struggling in his first few games back from the finger injury but has led the offence to 30+ points in each of the last two outings.
The lack of a run game has really been a pain point this season but it does appear they have a solution. Rashaad Penny broke loose for 137 yards on the ground and two touchdowns in their win over Houston. That was just their second 100+ rusher all season.
The Seahawks might be catching the Rams at the right time. L.A. has had injuries to deal with already, are on a short week and now might be sapped by COVID-19. The Seahawks have an opening here.
Los Angeles Rams
It’s been a very rough week in the news for the Rams. They were already dealing with Jalen Ramsey being placed on the COVID list, but then they saw key players like Sebastian Joseph-Day, Darrell Henderson and Odell Beckham Jr. get hit with the same fate. It is still unclear which players will be forced out for this game, but they look like they might be hampered. Head coach Sean McVay also stated that the team shut down their practice facilities for at least a day.
Los Angeles may be a far better team this season than Seattle, but losing key players and missing practices on a short week doesn’t bode well for them.
