Seahawks vs. Rams Point Spread: NFL Week 13 Odds, Prediction

They were knocked off by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Germany two weeks ago and then had a heartbreaking 40-34 result against the Las Vegas Raiders in overtime. They are taking a trip to face off with their division rivals here, but the Los Angeles Rams aren’t the same team that won the Super Bowl last season. The reigning champions have lost their last five games, sit at just 3-8 on the year and are ravaged by injuries. Seattle figures to get back on track in this spot.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Seattle is 5-1 ATS in their last six games when allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous matchup. They are also 17-4 ATS in their last 21 matchups played during Week 13. Unfortunately, they are 1-6 ATS in their last seven meetings with the Rams.

For the Rams, they are just 1-4 ATS in their last five games against teams in the NFC West division and are just 1-5 ATS in their last six when playing at home against teams with a winning road record on the season. The total has seen the under cash in their past four versus teams with a winning record on the season as well.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are going to need to desperately fix their run defense if they want to remain competitive. Raiders running back Josh Jacobs just ripped them for over 300 total yards himself. They rank 29th in the NFL in run defense and allow 4.9 yards per carry. The Rams can’t throw the ball run now as they’re down to third-string quarterback Bryce Perkins but he’s a mobile threat.

The combination of Geno Smith and Kenneth Walker in the backfield has done wonders for the Seahawks and they’ll need them in this spot. Seattle will likely try to establish a strong running game straight out of the gates to better control the clock this time around. Also, if they can play with a lead, it will force the pass more and run less. Considering Matt Stafford, Cooper Kupp and a slew of offensive linemen are out, forcing the Rams to throw would be ideal.

The injuries for the Rams don’t end there as Aaron Donald also won’t be suiting up, leaving the entire middle of the defensive line vulnerable. This sets up well for Kenneth Walker to have a big game.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams are in rough shape almost everywhere on the roster. Superstar wideout Cooper Kupp and fellow receiver Allen Robinson will both be out as they are each on Injured Reserve. Starting quarterback Matthew Stafford is also out with a concussion and Donald, as we mentioned earlier, will miss his first career game with an ankle injury. To make matters worse, they shockingly decided to cut their leading rusher Darrell Henderson a couple of weeks ago, leaving Cam Akers and Kyren Williams.

Even when they were healthy, this Rams team just hasn’t looked like themselves. Whether it’s a massive Super Bowl hangover or just having too many injuries this year, this has not been their season.
